What a fuckin snoozer. But hey, there's the added bonus of seeing shitty teams like Miami, Cincy, Washington, and possibly Oakland spoil potential playoff teams' hopes, so that what makes Week 17 interesting at times, if you're into mediocre football. I say Week 17 is for mediocre football because chances are, if your team's done well this season, and you're not playing a rivalry game (even then the Pack's starters probably won't play long I'm sure), then most likely your starters are resting this week, maybe play a series or two. It's like a preseason game for some, and do or die for others.

Discuss.

Well...it's been a hell of a ride here in Buffalo this year.

The arrival of Willis McGahee. The breakout of Lee Evans. Dare I even say the reconstruction of Drew Bledsoe to serviceable QB (and after the last 2 years of games...that's more mindblowing than anything else this year). 5 returns for TDs. 1,000 yards and 11 TDs for a guy who didn't officially get the starting job until Halloween (which is also the game that we scored the FIRST rushing TD of the entire damn season...week 7 for those keeping score). Scoring over 33 for 6 straight. Brian freaking Moorman. There was more excitement this year than in the last 5 combined.

0-4. 1-5. 3-6. 9-6.

I'll be heading to the stadium today hoping to see them hit double digit wins. And although it is hard to imagine getting the help we need from the crappy Rams or the don't need to win Colts...

Well...it was a lot more ridiculous to think that a team who wasn't included on the "In the hunt" category when they started doing playoff scenerios is still standing in the last week.

It's almost a miracle that they were able to leapfrog Baltimore and Jacksonville (both of whom had better records and wins over Buffalo) thinking back 7 weeks. One more miracle would be really really nice.

We only win one tiebreaker. And since the Colts aren't all in it today... boy do I wish the Rams could stop the run.

Anyway...still have to beat Pittsburgh too. At least the B team. I'll be upset if we don't make the playoffs...but I'll really only be disapointed if we lose our own game. That would suck.

Happy football on a crappy week of games everyone (except fans of the Jets, Broncos or Steelers. You I hate).

I hope I haven't become a typical jaded Minnesota fan, because while I want to see my team make the playoffs, something just tells me that I'll end up seeing a repeat of last year.

As for the AFC, I would much rather see Buffalo go to the playoffs than Denver (or NY, for that matter, but one of those two has to go, I guess)

NFL pregame show (yes I know I don't normally watch, but there's nothing else on) has shown Minnesota's 0:00 play from last year three times already today.

Yeah, they're not rubbing it in at all.

The Vikings can still end up getting in the playoffs anyway, can't they? Even if they find a way to lose they'd be 8-8 and could get in. How the hell could a team with that kind of talent go .500 though? How could they consider keeping Mike Tice under that scenario?

I'm hoping the Colts don't just tank it today and let the Broncos have a free ride. It'd just be like last year anyway, Colts would get them the first round and crush em.

Well, according to ESPN, it looks like Tony Dungy is going to try and get Edgerrin James the rushing title, so they're going to put forth at least some sort of effort. Plus, I would think Peyton Manning would like to get to 50, so there's that too.

About to leave to go up to BWW to watch the games.

Go Bills! Just...god, don't fucking talk to me for weeks if the Bills don't make the playoffs. ESPECIALLY if it's because they lose. I'm WAY too fucking excited about this game.

If the fucking shit-ass Broncos make the plaoffs instead of the Bills....ugh. Just...ugh.

If Minnesota and Buffalo gets in.... think there will be a Choke Bowl?

So if the Bengals win, that'll knock out the Eagles. And if they are so shitty, why do they have the same record as the NFC teams that are in the playoffs right now?

The Bengals won't win. They're awful. The Birds, even with a second team in, are more than capable of handling them. That isn't "fan boy philly-itis", its a simple fact, they want to WIN today.

Also, Ravens and Vikings give up early scores. Way to go.

The team I am really rooting for today is New Orleans. They've always been my 2nd favorite team, just because they are so pathetic. The missed extra point last year, just everything.

Akers misses a field goal. God.

WHAT DID AARON BROOKS SAY THAT ESPN GAMEDAY WAS RIDING HIM?

Hey, Gert T, the Bengals are 7-8. There is no NFC team right now in the playoffs that is 7-8. And there won't be. Check yourself.

And that's why a TOless Philly team hasn't broken 12 yet. Here's a hint Cincy's a lot better than St.Louis.

I really can't wait for Philly to lose in the playoffs so you disappear for 8 months.

And you're talking out of your ass. Half the teams in the playoff hunt are 7-8 right now.

I don't get it...

If Philly loses, why wouldn't I go away? Um, I got to 5-6 home games a year and ALL the playoff games, I've followed them since '88, I'm a diehard. I've slept on the streets outside Vet Stadium for Falcon/Eagles playoff tickets a few years back when they did some stupid deal.

So what's your point? Why would I be here as fanatical as I am if they're not playing?

New Orleans, Carolina or St.Louis will have the final playoff spot. All three of them are currently 7-8.

And Cincy is NOT better than St. Louis. St. Louis SUCKS, too.

A "TO-less Eagles team hasn't scored 12 pts yet". You are a fucking idiot, Crumb. A fucking stupid asshole.

They played the Rams, ONE GAME, without TO, without McNabb and basically the Pro Bowlers. MY GOD, how awful.

Go cheer your 3-12 shit-stain colored jersey Browns, a real embarassment.

They haven't scored more than 12 without TO. Have fun watching your team choke yet again. I can't wait to be rid of you in this folder.

It's funny that you talk so much trash when your team hasn't won shit yet. So what if my team's 3-12? I'm not on here talking about them.

They're not going to choke. They're in the NFC playoffs with 4 bad teams and 1 team (Atlanta) who has an overrated, easily confused QB that won't do shit on the road.

The Super Bowl is a different story. But that's one game. Hell, even the Panthers gave NE a fight.
