the max 0 Report post Posted January 6, 2005 For Sale by the Minnesota Vikings! 1 coveted place on the National Football Leagues 2005 playoff roster. You will be taking the place of the lowly Minnesota Vikings who clearly do not deserve the opportunity to play for Mr. Lombardi's trophy. Perhaps some of the much more qualified AFC teams would be interested in purchasing this rare second chance at a SuperBowl ring. Perhaps a few colleges with some well to do alumni wish to play the Packers this Sunday. We dont! We would much rather quit now and use the money to shore up our defense or even just get a defense. Or, we could also use it as a down payment on a desperately needed stadium. Those of you who have visited our beloved Metro Dome know what we are talking about. We are fine with yet another mediocre season and another opportunity at middle of the road draft picks for next year. Our fans seem to really appreciate the way we operate this club year after year after year... Signed, The 12th fan (For those of you who could not tell, this is not a serious sell offer and the playoff spot is not really for sale--regrettably for football viewers everywhere. Especially those that live in Minnesota) For when it gets taken down. Meh. I've seen funnier, like when Anglesault tried to sell Jeff Weaver on ebay.

I did not see it, and I thought he got over the whole "doesn't work hard" thing.

Guest Salacious Crumb Report post Posted January 7, 2005 So with the late draft picks, the constant underachieiving, their best player basically only playing when the ball comes his way and having a coach that makes no adjustments mid game is it ok to say the Vikings are quickly becoming one of the worst franchises in the NFL? I'd say the superior fall from the sky of the 49ers makes them a much worst franchise right now. But they are getting there.
Guest Salacious Crumb Report post Posted January 7, 2005 The 9ers at least have the excuse of rebuilding and having a shitty team. What excuse have the Vikings had for not making the playoffs under Tice until this season. He should be fired for having all the talent in the world and only managing a 17-15 record during the last two seasons. And the 9ers have at least made their draft picks on time.
