Return of the Living Dead 4&5

Recommended Posts

Coming hopefully soon will be two new additions to the Return of the Living Dead series. They will be called Return of the Living Dead 4: Necropolis and Return of the Living Dead 5: Rave from the Grave. Other than the fact that the zombies can be killed by bullets this time (bad considering if you've seen the original) these look pretty interesting, IMO. Then again, I love zombies so what the hell.

Photos from Rave from the Grave (warning, includes zombie boobs and a zombie taking a bite out of what appears to be someone's ass, so it might not be work safe)

Return of the Living dead was a freakin' classic. The Punk-Zombie theme was badass. Also the comedic nature of it all was awesome.

Return of the Living dead 2 - was cheezy but still decent, gone was the punk theme, but some of the intentional comedy was still up to par, considering two of the guys from the original reprised similar roles.

Return of the Living Dead 3 - Sucked.

I know the original can NEVER be replicated whatsoever, so I hope parts 4&5 are at least more like Part 2, then Part 3.

i loved ROTLD and part 2 was cheesy but good.

part 3 while a decent movie, was just too different to the rest and felt out of place in the series, i'm hoping that at least one of these new sequels capture the spirit of the first two.

What dissapointed me so much about part 3 was that it was just way off base with the first two. Now granted, the magic of the original can probably never be repeated, but there was no reason that they couldn't have made the sequels to at least follow the structure of part 2, which was full of cheese, but entertaining cheese.

Return of the Living Dead 3 - Sucked.

I actually liked (and own) part three. Sure, it's not as good as the first own, put it's still pretty cool. Gotta love Mindy Clark turning herself into a human pin cushion

Plus the Line "Julie, are you eating him? You should stop it." cracks me up

Also, this is OT, but speaking of zombie movies, "Choking Hazard" came out yesterday, but I haven't been able to see it yet. If anyone else has seen it, is it any good?

I used to love Part 3 when it first came out. It was different. I had a soft spot for Mindy Clarke and J. Trevor Edmond's characters.

I followed them on their career paths...

Clarke to Spawn and then The O.C...not bad.

Edmond to...uhhh.......uhhh.....oh yeah... Pumpkinhead 2: Blood Wings.

Guess she won.

But hey, I show this movie to all my friends that watch the OC. Then they can see Julie Cooper's breasts.

KILLED BY BULLETS?

Lame. I'll stick with Shaun and Land of.

After Dawn '04 and Shaun being so awesome (with Shaun being the best zombie flick to come out since the Night '90), these...look disappointing. KILLED BY BULLETS?! The entire point of the ROTLD series was that the zombies couldn't be stopped by anything but incineration (and electricity, which incinerates them from the inside-out, so it counts too), because Romero was forced by the government to lie after the Trioxin spill in the 60's (re: the original, the dialogue between Frank and Freddy to open the film).

Still...the zombie makeup looks very good, and the Tarman '05 design is awesome.
