Best advice I can give you is stay the fuck away from Sprint.

and therefore Nextel since they just merged. And screw the people with their cool GPS/WalkieTalkie Nextel phones because they wont work on Sprint's network. At least it might put an end to the people with nextel phones who just have to use the Phone to Phone feature where everyone within a 6 mile radius can hear the other person.

I have AT&T, who just merged with Cingular. I don't have a land-line as I use a cable modem and my two roommates have cellphones as well. I have one of those expensive phones with a camera, video camera, internet, games, ringtone downloads, text messaging, multimedia messaging, etc.

 

I got it rather cheap due to switching over from NTelos and knowing a guy that works in the ATT&T store.
