dubq Posted January 21, 2005 Report Posted January 21, 2005 I believe it was Fangoria that I read this in.. and apologies if there is already a thread on this.. but it basically said that the show was shot down before it even had a chance to air on the good ol' Dubya-Bee. Wasn't this show one of the reasons Angel was cancelled? Because they didn't want two vamp-shows on their network. Either way, my head hurts from rolling my eyes at the Dubya-Bee so much...
Nighthawk Posted January 21, 2005 Report Posted January 21, 2005 Wasn't that cancelled like 30 years ago?
Guest LooneyTune Posted January 21, 2005 Report Posted January 21, 2005 If they were airing re-runs of the original... BOO! If it was a remake: Thank the fuck christ. Nothing can match the awesomeness of the series... mainly because Jonathan Frid ruled.
2GOLD Posted January 21, 2005 Report Posted January 21, 2005 The WB saw the pilot and hated it. It was apparently beyond horrible. And the cancellation didn't have so much to do with DARK SHADOWS as the new boss of the WB didn't feel they should spend any more money on the show.
dubq Posted January 21, 2005 Author Report Posted January 21, 2005 Wasn't that cancelled like 30 years ago? Remake. FYI, folks, I'm not endorsing the show.. I'm just talking about how flaky the WB seems to be with genre shows..
razazteca Posted January 21, 2005 Report Posted January 21, 2005 Since when did WB make anything other than teen drama or black comedy?
Guest LooneyTune Posted January 21, 2005 Report Posted January 21, 2005 WB has black comedy? Seems like all they pimp is that dumb Reba show.
razazteca Posted January 21, 2005 Report Posted January 21, 2005 Wasn't the Steve Harvey and Wayans Brothers shows on WB for years? Redneck is the new black...
Guest LooneyTune Posted January 21, 2005 Report Posted January 21, 2005 The Wayans ruled... they didn't even get to do a final episode! (punches wall with a painting of the racist WB Frog on it)
Nighthawk Posted January 21, 2005 Report Posted January 21, 2005 The Wayans brothers set black folks back a lot farther than that frog.
