I just heard on the radio that Owens wasn't the first choice for that infamous Monday Night Football promo featuring him and that blonde chick from the "Housewives" show.

 

It was John Madden.

 

Now that would have been ... interesting. Of course, you could have then used the line "Boom! She's on her back..."

I've also heard that the towel drop was a relatively late addition to the script, too.

 

Just imagine how much less scrutiny this would have gotten if they used Madden and kept it less risque.
