Guest Evolution Report post Posted January 27, 2005 TRIPLE MAIN EVENT COMING TO MUSCATINE 2/5! Saturday night, February 5th, NWA No Limits Wrestling and IWA Mid-South Wrestling return to the National Guard Armory (1421 Park Avenue) in Muscatine, IA for another co-promoted event. VIP Ringside tickets are $18. General admission tickets are $15. Doors Open for VIP ticket holders at 6:30pm. All other seating at 6:45pm. Bell time is 7:30pm. Advance tickets are available at Big Ten Sports Cafe (2202 Houser Street), Co-Op Records in Davenport & Moline, or by emailing [email protected]. $5 per ticket discount at the door w/ military ID (limit 4 tickets per ID). ***Barbed Wire Match*** IAN ROTTEN vs. JOSH ABERCROMBIE ***No Disqualification*** RYAN BOZ vs. TNA's Monster ABYSS ***Special Challenge Match*** (Former ROH Champ) SAMOA JOE vs. "Underwear Model" ERIC PRIEST ***NWA Iowa State Title Match*** [Champion] JIMMY JACOBS has issued an open challenge! ***Women's Special Attraction*** MsCHIF vs. MICKIE KNUCKLES Plus BRANDON THOMASELLI, TRIK DAVIS, CHANDLER McCLURE and more stars in action! Abercrombie is going to die for Ian again, but Ian will be sure to do a little bit of dying himself, Boz/Abyss should be interesting, and I just want to see Eric Priest get murdered by Samoa Joe. I'd have much joy in watching that. I'd also like to see Brandon Thomaselli and Jimmy Jacobs. I'm thinking those two can put on a strong match. No comment on MsChif/Mickie, I'm sure it'll be solid wrestling from the IWA women once again.
Phoenix Fury Legdrop 0 Report post Posted January 28, 2005 Show looks pretty good; I'm guessing it'll probably be Jacobs/Thomaselli for the Iowa Title since I doubt the Respect match tomorrow in Renseleaar'll be the end of the feud. I got a question though: are all No Limits shows from here on out co-promoted with IWA? I mean, they were very, very IWAish before they announced the co-promotion, and either way they have a really good thing going down there that I'd recommend for anyone who's a fan of good wrestling, just wondering if it's a joint project for good. Guest Evolution Report post Posted January 28, 2005 Until Ian or the Ritters back out, I assume that all No Limits shows will be No Limits/IWA Mid-South.
Guest Evolution Report post Posted February 6, 2005 I decided to not go to the show after all, despite getting a ticket way in advance (I scalped it for reasons other than not wanting to see the show, which I'm sure was kickass). Anyone got results?
Guest ian. Report post Posted February 6, 2005 I read on their board that Abyss beat Jacobs for the Iowa belt, but that's it so far.
Cuban Linx 0 Report post Posted February 6, 2005 Results taken from the CZWFans board. First off GREAT FUCKING SHOW... draw was 220 and a heated crowd here in IOWA, baby! 1. Eric " The Product" Brave(??? not sure on the last name) def. Tyler Black with a crossface... good match a lot of heat for the new comers. 2. Chandler Mc Clure & Steve Stone def. Trik Davis & Mr Elite.. after the match Elite turns on Trik Davis 3. Abyss def. Jimmy Jacobs to win the NWA Iowa Heavyweight Championship. The match was awesome. A fan in the crowd with a mask brought balloons for Abyss and an Abyss acted very touched by the balloons. A lot of brawling(dive from the scaffolding), real good match. Very unexpected title switch though. 4. MsChif def. Mickie Knuckles- no dq match. I'd say this was one of the best womens matches I've seen. I couldnt believe the heat. Good match, Mickie worked with a bad leg. MsChif won with the Descrator on a chair. 5. Josh Abercrombie def. Ian Rotten in a barbed wire match. Very sick match, the two beat the shit out of eachother. Abercrombie came out at the beginning wearing a long sleeved shirt, jeans and bubble wrap. This match is a must seen. Ian punches Josh in the face and breaks his hand and Abercrombie then works over his hand with stomps, and chairshots until Abercrombie gets a tap out victory. After the match, Josh gets on the mic and tells Ian he should tell him he earned this IWA World title shot and says he doesnt need Ian or the fucking fans. 6. Samoa Joe def. Eric Priest. A lot of Joe chants. The two guys worked well together. This match went on after the barbed wire match b/c Priest and Brandon Thomaselli worked RCW before then and didnt get to the building until the 4th or 5th match. Samoa Joe hit the tope as the fans chanted TOPE, TOPE, TOPE. Joe wins with the Muscle Buster and recieved a loud please comeback chant. 7. Brandon Thomaselli def. Silas Young to retain the NWA Indiana Heavyweight Championship. Good main event. People didnt know Silas Young but he got over fast with his flamboyant ring attire and good moves. The crowd loved Brandon. Brandon also has a bad knee from the tournament the night before. Brandon wins with the Air Raid Crash. If I were you.. I'd be looking out for this on VHS or DVD. This show was filmed by Smart Mark Video.
