Nighthawk 0 Report post Posted February 2, 2005 They should do a secret wars serial killer movie where every serial killer is put on an island and forced to kill each other until only one remains. Early pick: Chikatilo.

DMann2003 0 Report post Posted February 2, 2005 True Story- Turn Me on Dead Man the true story of how a DJ and two college students spread the rumor that Paul McCatrney died and was replaced in the Beatles. And speaking of The Beatles Shout the story of the Beatles from 62-70. Or a film about Monty Python, done in the style of a Python film. Remake- Back to the Future, but only in the year 2015 and the kid travels back to 1985. Sequel- What else, Evil Dead 4.
Vern Gagne 0 Report post Posted February 2, 2005 A biopic of Irving Thalberg. Just watched an hour long documentary on TCM. Did so much for the movie industry, and was a pretty tragic figure. Was sick his entire live, and died at 37.
Guest Frank_Nabbit Report post Posted February 2, 2005 True Story: Jeffrey Dahmer Remake: Tob Browning's Freaks...again, using real freaks. Sequel: another Hannibal Lector flick...i heard they're doing a prequel, but i would like to see another sequal that takes places after Hannibal, with him missing his hand. Dahmer's got a video as well
Guest Frank_Nabbit Report post Posted February 2, 2005 Yeah Ed Gein has been covered H.H. Holmes is the new serial killer they need to make a movie about. There's a documentary about him. Erik Larson’s bestselling book The Devil in the White City introduced America to one of the most horrific but little-known episodes in our nation’s criminal history. When the shocking exploits of the mysterious Dr. H. H. Holmes became known, U.S. tabloids dubbed him the American Jack the Ripper. H.H. HOLMES: AMERICA’S FIRST SERIAL KILLER is the first film to tell the entire true story of this grisly episode. H.H. HOLMES: AMERICA’S FIRST SERIAL KILLER focuses on Holmes’ entire life of crime and villainy, from childhood to his death sentence and ultimate execution. Original photographs and newspaper reports of the period create a chilling authenticity, while actor Tony Jay (Time Bandits, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast) provides spooky, insightful narration to enliven the proceedings. http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detai...&s=dvd&n=507846 H.H. nl5xsk1 0 Report post Posted February 2, 2005 True Event: I'd always said John Holmes, but since Wonderland came out I can't use that as my choice ... I'd say maybe something about Escobar and the cocaine export industry or maybe a movie based around TSM and the kick-ass posters therein ... nah, let's stick with Escobar. Remakes: Night of the Comet Sequels: Donnie Darko

Corey_Lazarus 0 Report post Posted February 3, 2005 Re: Nightmare prequel I've heard a shitload of rumors about the Nightmare prequel being in pre-production, especially right after FvJ did so good (for a horror flick). I'd love to see it, if only because I could imagine Englund possibly getting recognition from the Academy for how great of an actor he really is. And IDRM, I think that Christian Bale makes a great serial killer in American Psycho. Then again, I think Bale does great in everything he's in.
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted February 3, 2005 Unless they remove every trace of a horror movie and play it as a drama, there's no chance for it or Englund come Oscar. Even without horror aspects, I can't see the Academy nominating someone playing a child murderer.
Guest JMA Report post Posted February 7, 2005 True Event: I'd have to second Have a Nice Day being made into a live-action movie. It might need a new title, though. Remake: Daredevil and Hulk. I'm thinking that a Daredevil movie with Tarantino attached to it could do very well. This would have to be like seven years from now, though (for audiences to forget about the previous film). I'd have Karen Page be the romantic interest in the first film, rather than Elektra (she would have to be introduced in a sequel). With the Hulk, there actually needs to be established villains. Sequel: I'd like for there to be sequels to Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow and Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle.
Insane Bump Machine 0 Report post Posted February 7, 2005 Even without horror aspects, I can't see the Academy nominating someone playing a child murderer. Well, they DID give the oscar to people playing serial killers before (Anthony Hopkins, Charlize Theron last year), so it isn't that far off. Still a difference, but who knows... Insane Bump Machine 0 Report post Posted February 7, 2005 Remake: Daredevil and Hulk. I'm thinking that a Daredevil movie with Tarrantino attached to it could do very well. This would have to be like seven years from now, though (for audiences to forget about the previous film). I'd have Karen Page be the romantic interest in the first film, rather than Elektra (she would have to be introduced in a sequel). With the Hulk, there actually needs to be established villains. Why would Tarantino do a Daredevil movie? And why even a remake, the first movie (Director's Cut) was pretty good except for the awful playground fight. I agree about The Hulk though, I'd like to see a better big screen version of it.

I've heard that the Director's cut was good, but Elektra pretty much killed any chance of a sequel happening. I think Tarantino would be a good choice for director of a Daredevil movie that heavily follows Frank Miller's work on the character. Sadly, he's not really interested in doing a super-hero movie. And yeah, that playground fight was pretty bad. I agree about The Hulk though, I'd like to see a better big screen version of it. Same here. Although, maybe Marvel could do another live-action series instead.
