2GOLD Posted February 12, 2005 Report Posted February 12, 2005 Ahh, direct to DVD badness. That still of the robot dead chick looks really really cheesy. Reminds me of that movie "Death Machine" with Brad Douriff
Placebo Effect Posted February 13, 2005 Report Posted February 13, 2005 I can't believe it took them over 10 years to get the ball rolling on these sequels. Nice to see they actually were made. Can't wait.
Placebo Effect Posted February 14, 2005 Report Posted February 14, 2005 Any release dates yet? Those posters are temporary AFM ones, so that means that they were showcasing it there to get themselves US and International distribution. I'm kind of curious as to who is going to pick them up. No doubt Lions Gate would, as they just picked up a (what even the director acknowledges as terrible) zombie flick from York Entertainment, but I can see the bid going to someone like Columbia Tristar or even MGM.
Guest KOR420 Posted February 14, 2005 Report Posted February 14, 2005 i read some reviews and it looks like 4 is better than 5
NoCalMike Posted February 14, 2005 Report Posted February 14, 2005 I eagerly await watching these movies at 3am on Showtime Extreme, 3 months from now.
Gary Floyd Posted May 7, 2005 Author Report Posted May 7, 2005 http://www.horrorchannel.com/dread/modules...rticle&sid=1575 Update of sorts. Both 4 and 5 will be released theatrically on October 17th. They will also be shown at the Cannes film festival

RedJed Posted May 7, 2005 Report Posted May 7, 2005 I bet someone will jump on the boat with these films in financing if Land of the Dead does decent box office (which I bet it will). October would be a perfect time to release these on the heels of that potential boom. From the trailers, the films seems pretty decent for what I expected. The behind the scenes teaser they have on their site too is f'n good stuff, it looks to bring the gore. Thought this was kind of cool too though I dont know who the fuck considers Shaun of the Dead a "unofficial sequal" to the original Dawn of the Dead... http://www.returnofthelivingdead4and5.com/...redits/gene.htm
