I thought I've seen every episode since the wife is a CSI junkie but I just realized something I don't know.

 

I'm watching the episode where Grissom goes for the surgery to fix his hearing and I realized I don't know if the surgery was a success

the surgery ended one of the seasons...so my guess is that the writers didn't want to deal with his bad hearing so he had his surgery and the audience assumes it went well cause we never hear of it again
