Well I think a lot of matches are pretty much set but we still don't know about a few guys. The guys that will definitely be on the show but we don't know how are:

 

Benoit

Jericho

Rey

Eddie

Booker

Big Show

Edge

Christian

Kane

Snitsky

Heidenreich

 

I think they should definitely either have Edge vs Christian or Edge and Christian teaming together. If Shelton could drop the IC title in the next few weeks, it would be great to see Edge and Christian vs Benjamin and Haas, but i doubt Haas will even make it on the show. Assuming he doesn't we could go several ways....Edge vs Christian, Benoit/Jericho vs Eddie/Rey OR Edge/Christian vs Benoit/Jericho, Eddie vs Rey OR (now this wont happen but it would be cool) Benoit/Jericho/Rey vs Edge/Christian/Eddie. Plus we have kane and snitsky to deal with, and since taker wont do the tag match heidenreich doesnt have anything to do, and i dont want to see him in a singles match..also Matt Hardy could be back in time..

- According to one backstage source, one agent backstage pitched the idea of Christian Vs. Edge at this year's Wrestlemania, with Christian playing the face and Edge playing the heel. This was only pitched by one agent and was met to mixed reviews by the creative team, so take that with a grain of salt as of now.

 

I actually like this idea a lot. With Edge playing the 'obsessed' guy who keeps getting 'screwed by everyone', maybe he will accuse Christian of giving him a loss to HBK, and start saying that even Christian, his own "brother" is trying to screw him. Christian would have to turn face, of course, but after however many years he's been heel, and the increasing number of fans he is seeming to acquire, I doubt this would be considered a task.

 

I haven't seen any rumours or news to push this match, but I would sure like to see it. Neither of the two has anything appearing set for the event. It would surely be a good match, better than the one they had after they split being a team anyway. It would also be somewhat of a push for Christian.

The problem with that is? They haven't acknowleged them as brothers but merely former partners.

 

What's wrong with just CVC Vs E&C? No need to senselessly turn Christian for the sake of a match that wouldn't mean a thing. Put the tag titles on CVC after winning a 3 way along with Le Rez and then Edge after cheating to win(via angle) over Shawn is forced to team with christian again(notice they keep losing with each other) so he doesn't like that and they beat the former champions and are rewarded a match. All four have a history, so it's not that out of the blue.

Everything else is still out in the open. Jericho made the open challenge for a six man ladder match. Which basically would make up the entire mid-card of raw(unless they go raw vs sd with this).

 

If it goes Raw only...It's safe to bet this

 

Jericho-Benoit-Edge-Christian-Benjamin-Hassan.

 

Might as well throw the IC title up for grabs as well...I'd put Hardy there for his expierence but he's been gone for 7 months and to return in a ladder match seems too risky.

 

I would assume that means Tajiri/Regal Vs Le Rez takes a heat spot. where it should be.

* As I said in the post-raw thread, in I'd have JBL cost Cena the U.S. title to Jordan and have him face Booker here, if just because I like seeing all titles defended at a big card and I want to keep Book away from Nathan Jones 2.0 (Heidenceich) But again, that's just what I want.

I'd rather have Booker/Heidenriech, who's actually booked as a threat then Booker/Orlando, who would be a jobber wearing the US title. Although it's really the lesser of two evil's for Booker this year.

At least with Orlando, we'd know the match could stay above negative stars. Seriously, Heidenreich is too green and is lost half the time unless a veteran's holding his hand in matches (See taker feud). Either ship him off to OVW or just drop him.
