AndrewTS 0 Report post Posted March 1, 2005 I've seen it pretty cheap up at my EB, and wondering if it's worth trying. I'm up for a decent platformer on GBA, but the Gamefaqs reviews don't really help much (they overrate or under-rate most everything). Anyone have it? I know it's just a port of an old SNES game, so it's been around.
razazteca 0 Report post Posted March 1, 2005 It plays like the classic Prince of Persia.
Youth N Asia 0 Report post Posted March 2, 2005 I loved getting info from the guys chained to the wall, only for BOOM! Reverse shotgun blast to the skull. If it's just like the SNES game I'd pick it up cheap, but it's not easy.

So I don't know if it is a good port or a bad port.
Slayer 0 Report post Posted March 2, 2005 Played it back when it came out in late '94. Holy shit has it been that long...? I remember this was a time when Donkey Kong Country was the big wave ...anyways, it was a pretty good game I thought. Like Prince of Persia if you had guns and grenades instead of swords
AndrewTS 0 Report post Posted March 2, 2005 Better controls than the old PoP, right? I should hope so...
Youth N Asia 0 Report post Posted March 2, 2005 Yeah, better controls. I don't believe there was any jumping, and I don't even think the guy ran.

AndrewTS 0 Report post Posted March 9, 2005 They had sold the game but I found a used SNES copy at a pawn shop in town for $5.99. Pretty good, but not the game I expected. It was hard to picture a "Prince of Persia with guns", but yup--that's what it is. I wish more games had that sidestep from the line of fire. Yeah, better controls. I don't believe there was any jumping, and I don't even think the guy ran. He runs and jumps PoP style. You hold down the Y button and he runs. You can jump, but pretty much only straight up to grab onto ledges and to leap across gaps.
