EVIL~! alkeiper Posted March 11, 2005 Author Report Posted March 11, 2005 I don't think he's been to the computer. Tom has TWO picks, and then we run backwards again, so its myself, Brian and Vern I believe.
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted March 11, 2005 Author Report Posted March 11, 2005 Incidently, thank you to the mod who has kept up the picks list in my absense.
Guest Brian Posted March 11, 2005 Report Posted March 11, 2005 He already chose Ott. I think he just wanted to be cool and post a picture.
KingPK Posted March 11, 2005 Report Posted March 11, 2005 Incidently, thank you to the mod who has kept up the picks list in my absense. You're welcome, now someone wake the Grand Poobah from his nap and tell him to pick.
Vern Gagne Posted March 11, 2005 Report Posted March 11, 2005 I'm just doing what I did in the first round.
Vern Gagne Posted March 11, 2005 Report Posted March 11, 2005 Incidently, thank you to the mod who has kept up the picks list in my absense. You're welcome, now someone wake the Grand Poobah from his nap and tell him to pick. I noticed Tom's made only one post since Monday. This could take awhile.
Guest Brian Posted March 11, 2005 Report Posted March 11, 2005 He was auto-picked last round, I feel bad if that happens in the first three rounds. Though he did end up with Ruth, so he can't really complain.
Vern Gagne Posted March 11, 2005 Report Posted March 11, 2005 He has until 4:40 tomorrow to make his pick, or at least pm Al who he wants. I think he'll get it in, it's just slowing the draft down so much.
Styles Posted March 11, 2005 Report Posted March 11, 2005 I think in ironic tribute Dr. Tom should select Lee Smith: Â
Guest Failed Mascot Posted March 11, 2005 Report Posted March 11, 2005 you should force Tom to take Craig Grebeck if he doesn't come around to make a pick.
Jorge Gorgeous Posted March 11, 2005 Report Posted March 11, 2005 Give him Ankiel's projected outfield stats.
The Man in Blak Posted March 11, 2005 Report Posted March 11, 2005 Give him Ankiel's projected outfield stats. It's hilarious that you mention that, since somebody on Baseball Think Factory ran an OOTP 6 sim on Rick Ankiel as an outfielder and came up with a 30 home run season (albeit with an underwhelming .210/.270/.460 line). Sure, it was after he had a couple of years of minor league seasoning, but bizarre nonetheless.
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted March 11, 2005 Author Report Posted March 11, 2005 I've got work til 6pm, so when I get back, if Tom hasn't picked, I'll run the autopicks and then make my own selection.
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted March 12, 2005 Author Report Posted March 12, 2005 Ok guys. Â Dr. Tom selects SS Cal Ripken Jr. and OF Frank Robinson. If Tom doesn't like either, he can exchange them for whoever is still in the pool. Â I select P Kid Nichols.
Guest Brian Posted March 12, 2005 Report Posted March 12, 2005 Goddamnit. I was hoping to get Nichols. Back to the drawing board.
USC Wuz Robbed! Posted March 12, 2005 Report Posted March 12, 2005 Ok guys. Dr. Tom selects SS Cal Ripken Jr. and OF Frank Robinson. If Tom doesn't like either, he can exchange them for whoever is still in the pool.  I select P Kid Nichols. did you personally pick the two for Tom? I think auto-picks should not be the top possible picks, but rather maybe the 5th best possible pick of each position... just my opinion.
Guest Brian Posted March 12, 2005 Report Posted March 12, 2005 I gues I have to go with a pitcher. Â Â Bob Feller, motherfuckers.
USC Wuz Robbed! Posted March 12, 2005 Report Posted March 12, 2005 Ouch.... and only one pick before Cena's Writer was up.... *waits for his reaction when he finds out Vern grabbed Pedro*
Vern Gagne Posted March 12, 2005 Report Posted March 12, 2005 I figured Cena would take Pedro with his 2nd round pick.

I think the easiest way might be to throw the top ten guys in a hat and draw two.

In this case, since Tom is a Baltimore product, I picked two prominent Baltimore Orioles.
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted March 12, 2005 Author Report Posted March 12, 2005 Are we up for a chat tomorrow? PK's league is drafting at 7:30. Shall we try a 9-10 ET time to get together? This isn't to try and finish the whole draft, just to draft a few rounds, share some laughs, and have some fun with this. Anyone who can't make it can PM me some picks.
Brett Favre Posted March 12, 2005 Report Posted March 12, 2005 Damn. I had a picture and everything too. Â Â With Pedro gone, the Black Sox will now go to plan B. Our ace shall be: Â Steve Carlton.
treble Posted March 12, 2005 Report Posted March 12, 2005 I'm pretty sure I'd be free tomorrow night around 10 or so.
Beast Posted March 12, 2005 Report Posted March 12, 2005 I dont know how long the chats gonna last, but if its on at 1030 still, ill join up.
