Bruiser Chong 0 Report post Posted March 7, 2005 Here's an odd one. I have a postage scale on the same table as my printer. There's little room to begin with, so when I had to weigh a huge box this afternoon, I set the printer on the floor. When I put it back on the table, I noticed that a piece is no longer connected to the back of it. I believe it's the metal piece that connected the USB cable into the printer. There are four flimsy pins in the hole of the printer where this went, but I can't get the metal piece connected again. It actually looks like it may have broken off. Is this something than can be replaced or am I going to have to buy another printer because I set this one of the floor for three minutes? Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Bruiser Chong 0 Report post Posted March 9, 2005 No, it was a metal piece that connected to the cable and plugged into some cheap tin-like prongs of the printer. I had my friend look at it today and he said it looked like the metal piece had broken off (which I thought, too) and that even if it went back in, the connection wouldn't be too secure.
