Velocity:

Shannon Moore/Nunzio lost to Johnny Nitro/some guy/Rochelle

Bobcore Holly/Haas def. The Bashams

Spike Dudley def. Scotty 2 Hotty

Paul London def. Akio

Dark Match: Booker T def. Heidenreich in a street fight

Id bet on the Shannon Moore/Nunzio v Joey Matthews/Johnny Nitro tag match as the dark match and Booker v Heidenreich as the Velocity main event.

Thats basically what i was going with, it would be a interesting dynamic to see the SHOWSTOPPER famous for gimmicks refusing to do ladder matches and cage matches and cells and casket matches and challenge the GOLD MEDAL wrestler to a straight wrestling match.

Exactly.

Smackdown has always looked bad on paper... this show looks like any other. when it starts to look good is the time to worry about fake spoilers.

Posted
there is no source... and its too soon after the show would've ended. spoilers don't come on tuesday nights until at least a half hour later than now.

If these are real, I can't see myself watching Smackdown this week. Velocity maybe, but not the main show.

We really don't know it's fake. It's one persons word versus another, and this show looks shitty enough to be Smackdown any Thursday of the year.

London/Akio wrestle every other week. Undertaker/Heidenreich and UT/JBL & OJ had countless dark matchesd on SD tapingas. GANGREL AND VISCERA were on several shows.

I honestly don't know the difference anymore.

He's a cruiserweight... seriously, that's the answer. WWE doesn't give a shit about them, hence why London has been on Velocity almost every week since he debuted.

Even if Angle challenged Shawn to a ladder match, there's no way they'll have HBK accept that stipulation.

WWE will not run two ladder matches on the same night. And the intention was always for Angle/Shawn to be a straight-up wrestling match -- that's the attraction to it.

On Raw, Shawn will turn this against Angle and say Kurt is simply scared to face him in a one-on-one wrestling match. Angle is scared that an Olympic Gold Medalist might be overwhelmingly outskilled by someone that has devoted their entire life to pro wrestling, but has no Olympic training. When you think about it that way, the stipulation challenge actually does make a little sense.

Of course, this is assuming the spoilers are true.

That's basically what i was expecting with my whole "opposites". idea...

The idea would be that Kurt actually is afraid of losing in his "zone" and was wanting to use a gimmick so he could go "of course he's gonna win a ladder match, he's not a real wrestler" or if he wins he can go "I beat him at his game"

Good idea. I hope you're right.

It's not that at all... Angle is doing exactly what he said he would do on Monday. "To accomplish everything Shawn Michaels has done in his career in four weeks"

The ladder match is step one, which is a match Angle hasn't been in yet. Now he has. HBK doesn't have to accept, all he has to do is hammer home that just cause Angle wrestled in a ladder match doesn't make him as good as the "Showstopper", so Angle has to step it up the next week, and continue until finally he is like "FINE, You want to settle this...straight up wrestling..." and they do it.

If the spoilers are true (I'm assuming they are), will they use some unknown wrestler and pretend he's Marty Jannetty (like a "what a fake") or will they bring him in for the match? Since he and HBK have patched things up last I heared, I'm betting on the latter chances are very good.

Er....that Benoit/Angle Judgment Day 2-out-of-3 falls match wound up having a ladder match as the last fall.

Still, I agree. Just couldn't help correcting you though.

well okay... but you agree, as that is probably the storyline they are going to go with.

What can he do for the other weeks? Well, apparently he can beat Marty Jannetty, and then he could start a Good Sumaritan version of DX.

"SUCK IT....PLEASE."

They destroyed the spinner belt right there in the ring? Hellooooooo, WWEAuction.com.

Or helloooo SD Hardcore Division. ;)

Yeah, that's what they can do with those Cruiserweights...

Didn't Mankind already do that phrase with a please? I remember he was hanging around D-X for a few weeks, and the commentators played off "DX adopted him into the group".

no thats exactly what i was saying, that Angle would try to throw the big gimmicks at shawn and shawn would simply request a legit match. setting up the dynamic i made eariler.

With the "wrestler" wanting the gimmicky match, perhaps to prevent being upstaged by the "performer" and having the "i beat him at his game/he beat me in a performence match, not wrestling" heat/sell). The thing i just said was the psychological aspect the fans would buy into, if Tazz or Ross would to play it up a little that perhaps Angle's afraid of losing at his game to the performer.

Angle would keep throwing the "big" challenges out, Shawn turns down the Ladder match, so Angle bumps it up a notch and challenges to Ironman...then HIAC...all matches Shawn's famous for until Shawn continues to hammer the point across "I WANT A STRAIGHT MATCH". It builds up how confident Shawn is and how concerned and uncertain Angle is about his abilities.

Its not the most creative or original idea but it worked and it's not cheesy.

Would you really bid on something signed by ORLANDO JORDAN?!

The only thing I would bid on signed by him would be his own pink slip.

I'll buy that piece of shit belt, burn it, and then flush the ashes down a toilet, even if it was signed by someone who had talent.

Posted

The Smackdown ring announcer should announce him as "Rock Rock Til You Drop, Rock Rock Never Stop...Marty Jannety!" just to hear a few random smarks pop.
