Guest Seven Sins Report post Posted March 20, 2005 . Well, every single one of those went wrong for me. Hopefully, at least Boston College will win and cover, because I put the last $30 in my gambling account on them, and they're one of the few Sweet 16 teams I have left that wasn't picked by everyone else in the country. Looks like you just lost 30 bucks.
MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted March 20, 2005 Its pretty crazy that the games in the RCA Dome arent in HD, but the games at Cleveland State are.
Edwin MacPhisto 0 Report post Posted March 20, 2005 Hey kids. I've been out and about all weekend. Right now I'm standing in kinda trouble, but kinda good. Basically, I've lost 6 Sweet 16 teams, but only one Elite 8. The good thing is that everyone else in my bracket here at school (there are about 20 of us) is in worse shape. One poor girl had Kansas beating Syracuse in the Final Four, and Kansas over Gonzaga in the championship. Ouch.
MARTYEWR 0 Report post Posted March 20, 2005 I'm still okay, even though Texas Tech killed off my Final Four representative from the Albuquerque region. Illinois and Arizona are fine, so I might have the Great 8 matchup correctly in the Chicago region. I have Utah going all the way to the Great 8 against Duke, so I'm happy they're still alive. Cuban Linx 0 Report post Posted March 20, 2005 So far i got Utah, Washington, Arizona & Illinois correct, and Texas Tech and Wisconsin Milwaukee wrong. Lost three of my Sweet 16, but my final 8 are all still alive.
Edwin MacPhisto 0 Report post Posted March 20, 2005 Wake/WVU is getting down to the wire, and WVU is finally getting it done inside. 1-point game at 2 minutes to go... UK seems to have gotten away from Cincy in the final minute. So long, Bearcats.
iggymcfly 0 Report post Posted March 20, 2005 Hey, Kentucky won. I can't believe I actually got one right.
Edwin MacPhisto 0 Report post Posted March 20, 2005 I'll be pissed if I lose Wake, but it'll make the road that much easier for GT presuming a win against Louisville. And it'll fuck up the brackets of all my other ACC-crazy friends.
MARTYEWR 0 Report post Posted March 20, 2005 Fuck! West Virginia's going to fuck me over twice. I'm screwed next round anyways, with Gonzaga being eliminated, but now I may be completely out to lunch as far as the lower bracket of the Albuerquerque region goes. At least Kentucky won. I had Kentucky and Utah facing each other in the Sweet Sixteen, so that's good.
Edwin MacPhisto 0 Report post Posted March 20, 2005 TIE! And Wake gets the time-out with about a second to go.
MARTYEWR 0 Report post Posted March 20, 2005 Good God! What a finish this will be!

I want Wake to win just because I've missed so many games today that I don't want to lose any more, but I think in the long run, a WV win would actually help me. mike546 0 Report post Posted March 20, 2005 No! No! No! If WF loses, half of my Final Four is gone. Please, please, please, win Wake, please!
2GOLD 0 Report post Posted March 20, 2005 It's becoming obvious the entire ACC has one major collective weakness: the teams have no CLUE how to defend dribble penatration. And god, this game is looking like DOUBLE OT. And here I thought that Zaga/Tech game was going to be the best of the second round.
Edwin MacPhisto 0 Report post Posted March 20, 2005 Chris Paul is a madman. What a fantastic game. Give me another OT!
2GOLD 0 Report post Posted March 20, 2005 Tell me I did not just see Chris Paul miss a free throw....he never misses. Be like Jordan in his prime missing a game winner.
Matt Young 0 Report post Posted March 20, 2005 Jesus fucking Christ. I've seen Wake (my 2nd favorite team after Illinois) choke in the tournament for the last decade, but this is ridiculous. Come on, Deacons. Losing to the West Virginia Mountaineers would be a fucking joke.
mike546 0 Report post Posted March 20, 2005 Jesus christ, This game would be so much better without these billion time outs.
sfaJack 0 Report post Posted March 20, 2005 Forget moving the three-point line in. the rule change college basketball needs is fewer timeouts for each team. This is ridiculous.

Slayer 0 Report post Posted March 20, 2005 This game would be over right now if WV defended the perimeter better
Edwin MacPhisto 0 Report post Posted March 20, 2005 Give it up for Eric Williams. He's been incredible this entire game, and that block to send it into double OT was un-sane.
Matt Young 0 Report post Posted March 20, 2005 Double overtime! Basketball hasn't been my favorite sport since high school. I prefer baseball and maybe even football now, but even when basketball was my fave, I preferred pro to college. Despite that, I'm beginning to think that the NCAA Tournament may top the MLB playoffs as the most exciting time of year in sports.
Brett Favre 0 Report post Posted March 20, 2005 I have a feeling we're going to see the same finish to a quarter for the 3rd time in a row in the 2nd OT.

Edwin MacPhisto 0 Report post Posted March 20, 2005 With Paul out and 6 to make up, I'm thinking, after all this, we're heading towards an anti-climax.
mike546 0 Report post Posted March 20, 2005 I REALLY thought this game was booked to have Paul hit the game winning three at the buzzer. Guess not, for shame.
Brett Favre 0 Report post Posted March 20, 2005 This is more like Rock/Austin WM X7. Back and forth till West Virgina had enough and just beats the shit out of Wake to end the game.
