the pinjockey 0 Report post Posted March 18, 2005 This is the thread for the 2005 TSM NFL Mock Draft. The draft will officially begin at 1pm on Saturday, March 18th. Feel free to make selections at any time starting now, however, the 12 hour clock will not begin until the official start time. You will have 12 hours to make your selection. If you go past that point the pick will be made for you. If you are past the 12 hours, but show up before the next pick, go ahead and change the pick that was made for you. If the next pick has already gone you are SOL. If you know, for certain, that you will miss your 12 hour window, please PM a list of selections so we do not waste the whole 12 hours. The lists in this post will be updated and not reposted on each page. There are no trades. Compensatory picks will be added upon their announcement. With the first pick in the 2005 TSM NFL Mock Draft, the San Francisco 49ers select... Cedric Benson, running back, from the University of Texas Besides, Kevan Barlow is a pussy. Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted March 19, 2005 Also, this year's draft is not going to be nearly as interesting as past years have been, from what it seems.
HarleyQuinn 0 Report post Posted March 19, 2005 If they go to a 4-3 defense, they can afford to add Derrick Johnson. I figure he could be a prototypical Willie McGinest type LB/DE mix.
Guest Flyboy Report post Posted March 19, 2005 Dolphins need LBing?! I agree -- Miami needing defense is a real eyebrow raiser... a QB or HB probably would have been a better choice. Considering 3-4 & DJ: I've seen more of than my share of UT games and as of now.. DJ just wouldn't fit in the 3-4 defense. He's too small.. now, in a 4-3 he'll be a stud, but I think in the 3-4 he'll suffer until he adds bulk.

the pinjockey 0 Report post Posted March 19, 2005 12 hour clock is now starting. Tully has until 1am to make his pick. Rrrsh, you might want to look here to see what the pace is going to be like.
Guest Flyboy Report post Posted March 19, 2005 Yeah, I don't think Tully comes around very much --so if he doesn't make his pick in time, is it okay if I make it for him, pinjockey?
the pinjockey 0 Report post Posted March 19, 2005 If you are going to be around at 1am sure. I have AoO and therealworldschampion's picks at 4 and 5 so if they aren't around we can pop out a few real quick. I was concerned about this pick as well, if he does not make the pick I think we will reassign the team from this point forward. Hopefully he makes the pick, making this point moot. the pinjockey 0 Report post Posted March 20, 2005 laparka pmed his pick With the 7th pick, the Minnesota Vikings select... Erasmus James, DE, Wisconsin Strengths: Is a tremendous athlete...Quick and agile...A terror as a pass rusher...Extremely productive as a senior...Has only played football since his senior year of high school and still has a lot of upside...One of the better sack artists in the draft. Weaknesses: Missed the entire 2003 season due to injury and then had some ankle problems as a senior...Needs to get bigger and stronger...Raw in terms of technique and gets by on his natural athleticism...Inconsistent...Doesn't have top-notch speed. He's a reach at this pick, but with no ability to trade down and the two top wideouts gone, he fills a need.
