Storm Comments!

Disclaimer- This is running commentary- I read the show, when a comment pops into my head, I switch over to here and post my thoughts. By far I'm not the best man to take advice from and none of it is intended offensively, but I've been around long enough to catch little things. I have always been around here to make a total ass of myself, so if my suggestions come off to you as that- no problem.

Mak Francis' Promo

-Short, sweet, and I'm assuming it's not pornography he's watching.

Spike's Opening Promo

-There's too many straight-edgers in this federation, where's Bryan Levy to straighten that out?

-I like the description, not overly done but just right, and Jenkins' logical reasonings for Toxxic's turn on him.

-Francis interrupts and he's still fuming from that lost match.

-The set up for the rematch and now the Lockdown booking makes perfect sense. I adore the recent use of Pure Wrestling rules... Danny Williams would be so proud.

-Like how you show Spike's uneasy thoughts about the match in general. Makes him more believable as a person.

Mohammed Koran versus Manson

-Mohammed comes out like a grumpy old man and rants. Nice. Way to point out his home is in D.C. (Which means there goes one of my lines of commentary, you bastard. ;) )

-The opening sequence is nice.

-w00tage for Stan Hansen remark. Friends don't let friends dip, by the way.

-Muscle Buster puts Koran down and out for the count.

-Overall a good job, an entertaining match to read.

Gift Shop Brawl!

-Screw it, that's my match.

-Don't. Read. It.

Jay Hawke versus Austin Sly

-Make the two bunny ears... oh, wait, sorry. The split screen boot lacing gives it a feeling of importance. Nice touch.

-Great job recapping the tournament and recent events.

-I like the fact that the pipe is put down 'til the opening bell.

-RATM's cover of "What A Wonderful World" nearly matches "This Magic Moment" by Misfits for absurdity. Total sidenote.

-"Yes, they’re closed fists and normally illegal, but in this match, anything goes" That's the type of thing where being pointed out by a commentator would be better. Just doesn't feel right, if that makes sense. Doesn't break the flow but doesn't seem to belong either.

-One thing that really stands out in your matches is the technical flow. Every move has some sort of transition or purpose and each move, counter, etc fits well. Something I envy. (Insert an obscene amount of smileys here).

-"The Suicide King makes a great point." Again the type of thing that kind've messes with the match.

-"Normally would be the time that we have a long, drawn out explanation of how this fight went to the back of the arena. But it probably took longer to say that sentence out loud than it did for the fistfight to get to back of the Space Needle, seeing as how the Space Needle doesn’t really have a lot of space for the crowd." Maybe I'm the minority or maybe it's not what I'm used too, I dunno, this all rubbed me the wrong way.

-Once they're back in the ring there's a great sequence with the pinfall attempts and time winding down.

-Finally that lead pipe comes back into play in a major way.

-Great match to read and it put both men over, made sense, and had all the right qualities. Nice job.

Pretzler Bitches~!

-Works great for his character.

-Nice, short promo. A small foreshadowing that he might make an appearance (just by reminding everybody's he's here).

Johnny Dangerous versus Landon Maddix

-Barracuda Bandwagon, has a nice ring, eh?

-Alright, good sportsmanship. Never a bad thing.

-Good opening 'bout. That turned ugly quickly but logically.

-Nice reminder of the injured neck.

-Working the neck is a smart move and Landon being touchy about it is a nice display of understanding basic human emotions and reactions.

-Okay, Maddix's eyes have now been the size of dinner plates. Careful, try to mix

it up a little. It's the little things that people notice, you know?

-Notice the subtle brutality in Dangerous' actions? How it goes a bit beyond Championship fever? Started out with sportsmanship and degraded to this. Deliciously subtle way to show Johnny's slip into madness.

-End of a reign.

-A damn good way to end that reign too, Johnny. A great match to read.

Toxxic versus Wildchild~!

-I've really been pumped over this one.

-Mmm-mmm. I'm glad the "bid'ness" jokes never quit. I'm a sucker for 'em and I'm going to beat that dead horse for as long as LDP is our commentator.

-Muahaha, I love the emphasis on "unprovoked." Your commentary exceeds a lot of people's here. Understanding the characters, their personality. Really adds to it all.

-Jesus Christ, I haven't heard of the last three referees used. I'm still a fan of Kivell.

-Great opening exchange and very quickly paced.

-There's more logic spoken through the commentators (weapons and why they wouldn't want to snatch them yet).

-Role Reversal into the Freefall? Beautiful.

-Andros Drop! Not quite enough for the cover.

-Over the top rope? Crazy motherfucker.

-Again the announcers point out the logic.

-Wicked chairshots. A nice staple of any good main event with no rules.

-Never. Ever. Use the term "sore balls and all" because at this point of the night and with the sixteen year-old maturity (or lack there of) kicking in I have to-

Huh, huh, huh... you said balls.

-The one working leg is consistant.

-“Do you think they still used the cane in British schools when Toxxic was there?” Pete crows.

“One man in spandex spanking a guy in eyeliner,” King muses. “Hey, when did Riley take over Creative Control?”

Genius. Also meets the status quo for this month's gay references to Riley! (Steadily decreased since his replacement of commentator).

-You use weapons with taste and logic. Another trait I envy.

-Arabian Press. Great spot.

-Damn it man, WC could've had the upset!

-Mace? Brass Knuckles? You motherfucker. God, it feels so good to loathe Toxxic.

-The ending was somewhat sketchy but it works.

-End of sh...wait, no.

Pretzler graces us with his presence!

-Usual team mate suppotr, common enemy.

-Pretzel gets some revenge.

-Okay, he gets A LOT of revenge with that Tildebang Driver on the steel walkway.

End of show.

Top Five Spots-

5. Muscle Buster- Manson versus Mohammed

4. Lead Pipe Brutality- Jay Hawke versus Austin Sly

3. Role Reversal caught into a Freefall- Toxxic versus Wildchild

2. (tie) Painful German Suplex- Johnny Dangerous versus Landon Maddix

2. (tie) Over the top rope Hurricarana- Toxxic versus Wildchild.

1. Tidlebang Driver onto Steel Walkway- Pretzler's revenge on Wildchild.

That's all.

It wasn't bad, apart from the fact that the main event (at least when I read it) wasn't there. *makes ghost sounds*

Hey, it showed up! Maybe I just wasn't paying attention. NICE main event, even though no one threw anyone off the Space Needle. :( Maybe next time. Now if you'll excuse me, I have a match to start.

Note for IL: unless it's a PPV Main Event, when I still use Kivell, all my referees now are British Football Association referees - generally from the Premiership (the best league, where Manchester United and so on are), although D'Urso is from the Championship (second-best league, where both Nottingham and my hometown of Ipswich currently are). Card told me to use him, but I think he wanted me to ref bump him as I believe he made some controversial decisions against Nottingham Forest recently.

But thanks for the comments, you're taking over nicely from Dace! ;) I'd comment, but I have 7k words to bash out by Wednesday...
