Behold! The obvious about Iraq is revealed!

Recommended Posts

So the end result everyone agrees on is our intellgience community needs repair....did we REALLY need 4 years to figure that out?

It's the government. That is about as efficient as they get.

Feel free to skip this one KKK.

Once again, the "threat" from Iraq not quite as immediate as we were led to believe. And oh those poor soldiers that are going to get fucked when and if they finally do get to come home.

Oh and I almost forgot! Firing Tenet doesn't exactly qualify as holding him accountable when there are 1500 plus dead AMERICAN SOLDIERS as a result of his fuck up. Call it hindsight bias if you want. You'll see how much water it holds coming from the crowd that tells welfare mothers they should get no money for no other reason than they should be held ACCOUNTABLE for their actions. OK, fair enough right? So if we were to hold this issue up to your "conservative standards of accountability" then I would expect that since so many AMERICAN SOLDIERS are DEAD that you Mike (and people who think as you do) would... hmmmm EXPECT that Tenet, Wolfyboy, and perhaps even your beloved Bush be taken out back and shot. Sound about EVEN? That IS how you (and people like you) think about things correct? Nuke the whole area and no more problem? RIGHT?

Trust in that? Fuck that!

Yes, we're ALL about dropping nukes. Tenet's "fuck up" was the same "fuck up" EVERY COUNTRY ON EARTH MADE. Yep, WE were supposed to have "super-secret" info that nobody else had. Yes sir!

Do you need a Mydol? Because this is bitchier than normal for you.

It's just as brainless, but it is bitchier.

Well at least you admit it was a fuck up. Which for you is progress I guess. AND YES I know its not the first time but you didn't counter-point a thing I said. So I'll leave it at that.

You're doing petty bitching and whining. I don't take it seriously enough to respond.

And, I suppose you can point to where I said our intel didn't apparently make a mistake with WMD, right?

Right?

Saddam at least WANTED people to think he had WMDs.

I think he wanted the rest of the Middle East to believe he had them, to thwart any attempted invasions, however the minute it looked like America was thinking about going to war, it seemed pretty evident that he didn't actually have them.

He was still a threat to the enter stability of the Middle East, whether it or not he had them.

A man committing with a bank robbery with a convincing replica is committing robbery just the same as a man with a real gun. There's no point in second guessing with information we didn't have previously.

It's just too bad nobody will be held accountable for fucking up the intel as bad as they did. Alas...

Because that's why we had all those firings in the CIA and a new head of Central Intelligence. God damn it all, no responsibility!

Damn, how did I miss this for so long?

Once again, the "threat" from Iraq not quite as immediate as we were led to believe.

*Shrugs*

And this holds no water whatsoever. There's a term in psychology called "Hindsight Bias", which is what you have in spades. You act as though information today were easily accessible years ago, obviously showing how a 'bad' a decision this was. Well fuck, even if this 'wasn't as bad as we were led to believe', it certainly needed to be done for a multitude of other reasons (Such as the ones mentioned in the Congressional bill giving Bush the leeway to start the conflict).

And oh those poor soldiers that are going to get fucked when and if they finally do get to come home.

Considering this last month had the 2nd lowest casualty count since we've been in Iraq, I think they are feeling a bit better. But hey, we all know your motto: When the going gets tough, we cry like sissies and run away with our tails tucked between our legs.

Oh and I almost forgot! Firing Tenet doesn't exactly qualify as holding him accountable when there are 1500 plus dead AMERICAN SOLDIERS as a result of his fuck up.

And a free Iraq moving towards Democracy. Fuck, man, there's a double whammy there! Hey, let's figure out other ways to shit and completely trivialize the sacrifice of 1500 Americans for the sake of a shitty and petty political argument...

Call it hindsight bias if you want.

Already have, will continue to because you obviously have no sense of 'recency'. People can't act on information they didn't have that we have now.

You'll see how much water it holds coming from the crowd that tells welfare mothers they should get no money for no other reason than they should be held ACCOUNTABLE for their actions.

Conservative asshole point: Since when is it a good idea to have unprotected sex at 16? That's not really hindsight bias, that's just common sense. Not a valid comparison.

More Moderate Point: I know that I am in favor of targeting the small percentage of people who blantantly abuse the welfare system. Ironically enough, this percentage is made up by a sizable amount of 'welfare moms'. I'd love to see social services take away children from these people for having 6 kids on welfare, but oh well.

Apparently having sex at 16 is comparable to being given inaccurate information and acting on it in the correct manner. Since when is 'having underage sex' the right solution to anything? Seriously, man, if this is your only point, give up because it doesn't work at all.

Nuke the whole area and no more problem? RIGHT?

Why not? With all those sand niggers there, who would care?[/s]

Perhaps we can stop speaking in gross overgeneralizations and try to make an actual salient point here so we can actually start, well, debating.

Trust in that? Fuck that!

Well, as long as we are making huge, incorrect assumptions, I'm sure that's what that welfare mom said so many years ago when the guy asked her 'Condoms'?

Did you miss it? That's just because Bush wants to govern the country with an iron fist or something. :)

And let's keep a few things in mind:

1) We know, for a fact, Iraq had 5 months before the war started to get things moved.

2) We know, for a fact, that Baathists "looted" weapons and the like (I did a post on this a little while back)

3) We know, for a fact, that Saddam denied access to sites that included hundreds of buildings to the inspection team. We also know, for a fact, that Saddam threw the inspectors out of the country. You don't do that for NO reason.

4) We know, for a fact, that Saddam was trying to buy yellowcake in Africa.

5) We also know that the UN did all it could do to water down the investigations.

Given all of this --- how can we NOT act when he was clearly not honoring the cease-fire?

And oh those poor soldiers that are going to get fucked when and if they finally do get to come home.

Nah, it just shows that he failed to learn the lessons of Mogadishu. If the US cuts tail and run whenever there are any casualties in combat, then we will simply get MORE attacks.
