Nighthawk Posted April 12, 2005 Report Posted April 12, 2005 Leatherstrip is all one word. And sometimes they spell it Laetherstrip. I was wrong about this. It's not one word, and it's Leæther Strip.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted April 13, 2005 Report Posted April 13, 2005 What's that ae merged thing called? I've always wondered that. Is it as cool as "Umlaut"?
The Czech Republic Posted April 13, 2005 Report Posted April 13, 2005 I think the æ and others of that ilk are just called ligatures. And that's nowhere near as cool as umlaut (which in English is called a diaresis). A ligature is like, a part of a clarinet.
