I haven't seen any of his New Japan matches, but I have been to lots of Stampede shows where he has wrestled. Smith is good, but gets lost very easily and spends far too much time with punches/kicks. He isn't as good as Teddy Hart, Jack Evans, or TJ Wilson. He is, though, very crisp in the ring and has some nice moves. Travelling to New Japan can only help him improve as it did a bunch of other Stampede guys.

I've seen several of Smith's matches on the indy circuit, and Tawren is pretty much correct. He doesn't fit in with the rest of the Stampede guys because he's just a big boy who doesn't do flips. He does have some greenish tendencies, but he seems like the type who'll grow out of them and get better with more experience.

I've seen tons of his matches and he is quite good for a 19 year old. He has good moves for a guy his size but does sometimes seem to get caught up in the action. Give him a couple of years and he'll be incredible.
