Guest Ripper Report post Posted February 12, 2002 So what is everyone thinking of the new season and what are your predictions what will happen.
Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted February 13, 2002 The new season...while there's still a lot left open they can do, it's pretty much lost most of its campy vaule...it's not as fun as it use to be. The Dawn character is just wearing thin with me...same shit every week, "No body loves me, leave me alone"...blah blah blah. As a whole this is a pretty weak season so far. Guest TheDames7 Report post Posted February 14, 2002 I think last season was the shows peak so far. I dont see Dawn as anything more than as a plot device, but even more so this season as everything revolves around her summoning demons by accident or something like that. Buffy's "romance" with Spike is interesting, but there isn't any looming or impending sense of doom that has a direction. Right now, I really don't see where they are headed except maybe for a big Willow heel turn. Dames
Guest Lil Naitch Report post Posted February 16, 2002 I was hoping that Willow would be the big bad in soem capacity, but the addiction thing is going really well so far. We'll see how it goes from here.
Guest Ripper Report post Posted February 19, 2002 Tara just has the mark of death on her this year. I just can't see how she could possibly make it out alive. Willow will probably go all psyho but I think the meat of the season will lie on Anya, Xander, and Spike. Anya and Xander are too close to happiness and that just doesn't happen on that show. Anya started s losing it a little in the last show(when they were stuck in the house) and was having some strange scenes with Xander to me. And Spike. They have somehow mentioned that chip in his head every show this year. EVERY SHOW. They didn't talk about it that much when he first got it. I have a feeling that he might get rid of it. Guest El Satanico Report post Posted February 19, 2002 It has turned into a Lifetime network show about witches. They need less whining from Dawn, Willow and Tara and more supernatural evil. The show needs a new big time villian. Buffy or Willow needs to embrace "the darkside" and shake the show up. The best current storyline they have going is the "is Buffy really a demon" thing. They need to make this a bigger part of the show.
Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted February 20, 2002 While I like the core characters: Buffy, Xander, Willow, Anya, and Spike...someone just has to die to make this season pick up. What I'd like to see happen is Warren and his crew maybe bring out something that they cannot control and have it go nuts and kill them all. I think it's safe to say Anya is toast though...people just don't get married in these kinda shows.
Guest TheDames7 Report post Posted February 20, 2002 Ok, so either Anya or Tara are dead by season's end. Got it. What I honestly believe is the problem with this season is that there is no main villain. Season 1 we had the master, 2, we had Spike and Dru, 3 we had Faith and the Mayor, 4 we had Adam, 5 we had Glory....and this season we have 3 dorks. Speaking of Faith....I KNOW that another slayer had to have been called up once Buffy died...so where is she? Dames
Guest Big McLargeHuge Report post Posted February 20, 2002 Kill Dawn now. She's become far too annoying and is more of a liability than anything else. I haven't really made an attempt to watch this season. I've been more interested in 'Angel' recently. After I saw the season 2-3 reruns on FX (which was awesome), I lost interest. The show just seemed to fall kind of flat after graduation.
Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted February 20, 2002 Joss Weadon (sp) said that the revolving door slayer thing is over...pretty much saying Buffy can die over and over and there won't be a new one. The whole thing is "when one slayer dies, another is sent to take her place"...Buffy died, so Kendra was sent to take her place...Kendra died...and Faith was sent to take her place. So...Buffy's technicaly been replaced...so untill Faith dies there will probably be no new Slayer. So in theory the line of Slayers is now with Faith...but it's a tv show, so they gotta stick with Buffy. Buffy has full of loopholes if you look closely...like Angel not being able to give Buffy CPR, "no breath" as he said...but yet him and Spike can smoke freely...I'm just being too much of a Buffy mark. As far as the big bad of season 6...I really have no clue where they're going with this. This is the most in depth they've gotten into a season without everyone knowing who the bad guy was. But also...there are so many names from previous seasons that can come back into the fold...so I guess it's a game a wait and see. *********************************** EDITING: I am editing right now...just tagging to the end of the post really ***WARNING SIMI SPOILER*** I was checking my local UPN 50 site to see if Buffy was going to be on (goddamn Pistons)...and there is a new episode this Tuesday and the discription reads: "Riley comes back to Sunnydale in search of a demon." SO FINALLY, something interesting is going to happen on a new episode.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted February 20, 2002 RILEY! NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! Riley marks the single most reason that there were episodes of this show that I did not enjoy.
Guest Big McLargeHuge Report post Posted February 20, 2002 I have to agree with bps21 on Riley. Nothing agitated more in the entire series than Riley's presence. well, except for maybe Adam.
Guest RavishingRickRudo Report post Posted February 20, 2002 But the Riley/Spike rivalry!!! Come on, it was the initiative that put the chip in spikes head, Spike is fucking buffy, Riley wants to fuck Buffy, Buffy wants non demon love! The nerds killed someone! NERDS! KILL! RILEY~! Should be interesting. If not anti climatic. The thing is, they already lost giles in the first couple of episodes right? Can they lose two in one year? Even 3? Guest Ripper Report post Posted February 20, 2002 I truely don't get everyones hate for Dawn. I like her. I especially like her look of evil when everyone was trapped in the house. I, too, hate Riley but it has already been said that he will be walking away from the end of the show, so no death. I am watch season 4 again now, and it was better than I remembered, but dude, the Intiative really sucked. Season five ruled after Riley left, and I think alot of people missed that because season 4 turned them off so much. I am really enjoying this season (except for The Double Meat one...that show was just...there). I think the show is really hurting because Giles is gone. You don't really appreciate how much one character can make a show until they are gone. The three dorks and the bloodlust they got after the last show is really interesting. They can actually be a formidle foe if they had some focus and more of a mean streak, and I do believe that they may have it now. I don't know what is going to happen with this season, but I trust in Joss. Oh, Yeah, Spike and Dru weren't the Big Bads in season 2, that was all Angelus. And I pray that they turn him on Angel, because for gods sake I can't stand brooding boy. Angelus was the MAN.
Guest Big McLargeHuge Report post Posted February 20, 2002 Yeah. I initially hated it when Angel turned (why couldn't everyone just be happy?), but the series hit a whole new level at that point. It's the biggest reason season 2 rocked, imo. Oh and there was more Cordelia, too.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted February 21, 2002 I too found season 4 to be better than I remembered. Every episode (after the first couple) had Spike in it...so it couldn't be all bad
Guest TheDames7 Report post Posted February 21, 2002 Am I the only one who can't stand Drusilla? I mean, I marked out when I saw her during the flashback episodes, but other than that, she's a pretty lame character I think and I'm happy that Spike is on his own. Dames
Guest Ripper Report post Posted February 21, 2002 Dude, Dru ruled on so many levels to me. I didn't like as much after she got well, but when she was all sickly and just plain nuts, I loved her. Her talking to the dead bird, or asking Spike about dancing, tourturing Angel or just how she said his name was so cool. Then she got healed and I didn't like her as much, she just lost some of that psychotic flow she had before.
Guest TonyJaymz316 Report post Posted February 22, 2002 Man...wait...giles is gone? Jesus chrits I've missed basically the whole past half season, can anyone catch me up? Please?
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted February 22, 2002 Since I haven't mentioned it in a long while....Wasn't the musical episode the greates thing ever...or at least close?
Guest Ripper Report post Posted February 22, 2002 Oh it was the greatest. Wish I could Stay, Rest In Peace, and Walk Through the Fire were GREAT songs. Amber, James, and ASH have talent!! and since I am maybe the only one that finds anyas fear of bunnies hilarious(I laugh everytime that she freaks) Her bunny riff was hilarious. And here is a breif wrap up of Season 6..... Buffy gets awakend, Willow gets all God-complex about it and starts using magic on everything, Giles goes to England finds out Buff is alive and comes back only for her to shove everything on him instead of taking resposibility, Dawn is a clepto, Anya and Xander are getting married, Williow does a spell on Tara to make her forget their fights, Tara leaves Willow and Will brings Amy back from ratdom and they all "we baddass witches" Will nearly kills Dawn in a magic drug addict-like drunkeness, and goes on Magic rehab(31 days and counting!!) Uhhhh, Spike and Buffy are doing the deed but she won't tell anyone and still acts like she really doesn't like him(only Tara knows) and Warren(the guy that made the Buffy bot), Jonathan(SUPERSTAR!!!) and this other guy (his brother realesed the hell hounds at the prom) form a fanboy supervillan group to take over Sunnydale and beat Buffy (The LOD or Leigon of Dorks as I call them) and thats about it. There is little stuff like one of Anyas old demon friends hanging around(this will be important later...trust me) and the LOD killing Warrens old girlfriend and Spike being able to hit buffy without a headache THIS BIG but that is it in a nutshell. I DON'T think I did it any justice though.
Guest Ripper Report post Posted February 22, 2002 "As far as the big bad of season 6...I really have no clue where they're going with this. This is the most in depth they've gotten into a season without everyone knowing who the bad guy was." Actually, they are right on schdule. They are at ep: 14 next week when Riley comes back. Season 1- not really long enough to fit into this. Season 2-Ep#14 was Innocence, when Angelus turned. Season 3- Ep14-15 were bad girls/consequnces when Faith turned Season 4= Ep: 14 was Goodbye Iowa: Adam is free and Walsh is dead. Season 5: Ep# 15 was I was made for you....It did set up the Buffy Bot which was very important later and The Body was the ep after that. Season 6= Ep 14-15= Riley is returning in ep 14 and the wedding is ep 15(and we all know something is going to happen there) So they are at the point were all the important stuff happens right now. Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted February 23, 2002 You can't count Faith as the big bad in season 3...you learned early on in the season (and hinted in season 2) that the Mayor was going to be a heel...He is one of the top 5 characters of all time on the show. And in season 5 you learned about Glory pretty early on...you knew she was going to be the big bad. I wish they'd bring back Oz....I miss the quotes. And as far as the musical...I think it's my favorite, but just BARELY beating out "Hush"...and Amber's song damn near made me cream myself...but I've said too much
Guest Lil Naitch Report post Posted February 24, 2002 Personally, when I look back on Season 5, it's better than I remembered it. I kind of gave it a bum wrap with the whole Buffy vs Dracula season opener. And While Season 4 wasn't all that great, it did have Hush in it, and that episode rocked. Also, Joss stated that there wouldn't be a "Big Bad" this season, and it will build to an "Ultimate Big Bad"(no, not Jim Hellwig) for the next and finall season. This keeps my hopes for an evil Willow alive, seeing as they can make her evil really late this season, and resolve it next season.
Guest TonyJaymz316 Report post Posted February 24, 2002 I still think Dracula should have been the big bad of Season 5...so much talent, just wasted....*sigh* Anyways I think its safe to say Willow either kills Tara or Ayana, probably Ayana. Dawn is like a beetle....she won't die.
Guest Lil Naitch Report post Posted February 25, 2002 I don't want Tara to die. I like her character, and not just for the whole lesbian thing. I think Tara should be the one to stop Willow.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted February 25, 2002 I miss Giles.

And the Body was the Pivot point of Season 5. The run from there on in was Buffy at its finest.
Guest RavishingRickRudo Report post Posted February 27, 2002 Ok, First I will talk aboot Buffy, then I will gush over angel and how FN GOOD it is. Buffy tonight with Riley (though I missed bits and pieces) was pretty good. OK! Now Angel. This has to be the most well written, or most fuckin lucky show on television to develop the current storyline going. LAYERS UPON FUCKING LAYERS! Built up for the past 2 season or so, maybe more, just amazing. I mean, everything just came together like a nice seinfeld episode or Snatch.... Just absolutely awesome...WHY CAN'T WRESTLING BE THIS WELL WRITTEN! And all you Wesley hataz out there, fuck yall! Wesley is SO ROOLING with an iron fist! His 'I know a secret that could ruin angels life and he will be crushed but what else can I do he will kill his son if I dont do anything and I will see his mortal enemy not to mention the woman I love is going out with this ruffian and I am all alone and british so I will become grizzled to the bone' shit is SO ON! Though Freds cute lil innocent appeal is now LOST! because of said storyline... It better be worth it, i love my quirkey characters. I mean, all the enemies are coming together and they dont even know it, and you gatta watch each episode cause you KNOW it will come back in the future... SIGH... Guest Vyce Report post Posted February 27, 2002 I agree with the Ravishing One. To me, Buffy this season has been rather mediocre. It just seems aimless. Like everyone and everything is just going through the motions. Angel, though, has KICKED ASS. The past few episodes have been great, and if it continues this way, it will finish strong too. Some great work on that show - especially from Wesley.
