tbondrage99 0 Report post Posted April 26, 2005 I thought when he joined Right To Censor it was perfect for him, it finally got him away from the shitty Pornstar gimmick, then he came back at The Royal Rumble as ever loving porn star Val Venis. When he came out to Raw as Cheif Morley I once again remember myself saying finally, now theres no way they can go back to the Porn Star gimmick since he has the complete name change and tells people to never bring up the whole Val Venis thing again. Then he was "fired" at showed up at the IC title battle royale as Val Venis again. All this has got me to thinking that even if he does get away from it again, it will only be a matter of time before hes "making movies" again.
Guest M. Harry Smilac Report post Posted April 26, 2005 He's the Brooklyn Brawler of this era and will probably have a job for life because of it. He's already too far gone and anywhere else he could go wouldn't mean shit in the long run anyways.
cabbageboy 0 Report post Posted April 26, 2005 Val is better than the Brooklyn Brawler. Brawler was always a bum, even during his one push he was essentially a jobber. Hell, Val was IC champ a few times and very well could have been in the main event had they figured out what to do with him about 6 years ago. The whole RTC angle basically killed the heat and/or career or anyone associated with it. Godfather, Bull Buchanan, Ivory....all released. Stevie Richards is mostly injured or on Heat, and is THIS close to being released. Val is a jobber and probably should be released. It's just an angle that most everyone loathed, unlike the Ministry which lots of people liked in a cornball sort of way.
Vern Gagne 0 Report post Posted April 27, 2005 Could they at least get rid of tired theme music? One idea is to make Val Venis part of a tag team. Maybe, Chris Masters...ace it he's hear to stay. Venis is a good worker, and could do the bulk of the in-ring work and Masters would only have to be in the ring periodically.
tbondrage99 0 Report post Posted April 27, 2005 Right he can team up with Masters so after the team has run its corse, which would be a few weeks tops Masters gets to squash Val on Raw if hes lucky and then he can go back to what hes doing again now. The Buzz 0 Report post Posted April 27, 2005 I heard someone say on this forum I believe that he went 75 minutes recently with someone on the indy scene, can anyone confirm that? As far as WWE goes, I think taking him off tv for six months....no heat or nothing. Putting in Puerto Rico or OVW to keep him on his game, and then bringing him back as Sean Morley the serious wrestler like they tried to push him as once upon a time would atleast get him in the US/IC title range again. Other than that a release would be his best bet as long as he ditched the gimmick. I could see him main eventing on the independents or even TNA.
tominator89 0 Report post Posted April 27, 2005 This is why I wish WWE guys had a place like ECW to go to. They need someplace where they can reinvent themselves like Al Snow did.
cabbageboy 0 Report post Posted April 27, 2005 Yeah, some guys used to go down to ECW and they were always glad to have a name WWF guy. It gives a wrestler a chance to get a new gimmick, and also gives him street cred due to the ECW connection. Something like this might help Val, but the thing is he's been around for so long and is so identified with his one gimmick that it's almost impossible to repackage him. With Al Snow no one really cared about him or had a fixed image, so when he busted out the Head it was like seeing a new wrestler. When I first saw him on ECW with the Head I didn't even make the connection that he was in the New Rockers, know what I mean?
