Looks very good. I will buy this one. Sgt. Slaughter on the cover is kinda funny.

No Savage vs. Steamboat from WMIII? Bummer. I'm still getting it, though. DeepdiscountDVD has an amazing pre-order price for this one and for the Road Warriors DVD, too.

Those matches are IN ADDITION TO what's on the cover.

Also I have to report an error. Orton and Shiek never fought to my knowledge. That match is probably Hogan/Shiek.

Fucking better be. WWE could release Savage/Steamboat by itself with no extras and charge $34.95 and I'd still buy it.

NWA World Heavyweight Championship Match

Chi-Town Rumble - 20/02/89

Ricky Steamboat vs. Ric Flair

The only other place I know of this being released was on a WCW Greatest Matches tape from 1999 or 2000 (the other 3 matches on the tape were Hogan vs. Sting, a Cactus Jack vs. Vader, and the NWO match from the 96 Bash). The premise of the tape was the fans voted on the matches via the internet. And they voted for Sting vs. Hogan. Soak that in, folks.

Which Flair vs. Steamboat matches are on the Flair DVD? I haven't watched it in a while.

The other two. Clash 2 out of 3 falls and wrestle war 89. Chi-town rumble is also my favorite flair-steamboat match so they just sold me on this dvd.

I thought that match was on one of HHH's dvd releases? No joke here the last time I saw this match was on a download a few hours before seeing Angle/Benoit at the Rumble. Talk about surreal as Angle/Benoit matched pretty good with it and I thought it was better, but of course that was going off real-time. I might have to play it both back to back when I get this dvd.

Chi-Town Rumble = Ricky wins belt in classic green trunks in 23:18, available on WWE Jukebox I believe

Clash 2/3 = Ricky retains with controversial final pin, 55 min or so, Flair DVD

Music City Showdown = Flair wins belt back, Flair DVD

Yeah, the Chi Town match still has yet to be released on DVD yet. The Flair Set and the Triple H disc both have the Wrestlewar match. The only place to see the Chi Town match is WWE Jukebox or if you happen to have a copy of the original show.

Uh, what makes you think that?

Jerry Lawler vs Kerry Von Erich, Slaughter vs Patterson, Greg Valentine vs Roddy Piper and Dusty Rhodes vs Ric Flair are on the cover AND on this revised matchlist (also Hulk Hogan vs Mr T on the supposed cover must have been a typo). Clearly, this makes it appear that the revised matchlist will be the complete set of matches.

Of course, we'll know for sure when it comes out. But at this point, it seems likely they've dropped the other matches, which apparently means no Steamboat vs Savage on DVD despite how obvious a choice it may be.

The match listing on Highspots includes those on the original list, as well as those in the more recent list. Of course, it may not be accurate.
