Cornette Given Leave of Absence by WWE

I just find it strange that the WWE would listen to an ultimatum from Bubba Ray Dudley.

 

I'm very skeptical of this latest wrinkle in the story.

I'm watching OVW as I type and Al Snow is doing the commentary....YAWN.

 

But at least Bobby Heenan is on this week...it's a shame Cornette isn't there to interview Heenan.

 

By the way the show's theme this week thus far is "chaos in the back because Cornette is missing". And alot of the wrestlers are taking cheap shots on Cornette.

Which I'm sure Jim just loves.

 

OVW will be a complete mess in no time and they will be begging Cornette to come back after 5-6 weeks.

And Bubba Ray is lucky to still be employed...his act has been stale for going on 3 years.

I'm still trying to figure out why this is an issue. If WWE really gave a rat's ass what happened in OVW, then there'd be no such thing as The Basham Brothers since Doug Basham and Damaja were feuding at the time of their callup.

Cornette has rubbed people the wrong way, which is no surprise, as Batista and Lesnar amongst others have said they didn't like their time in OVW. Mostly, Cornette's enemies are simply those who have a different view of wrestling than he does, and has nothing to do with his actions.

Looks like WWE has taken control of the show as it has been all backstage crap and interviews. Looks like there will be one match this week. Aaron "The Idol" Stevens vs. Brent Albright.

 

I miss Cornette already..no way would he allow only one match on a show.

I think it's only an issue because certain people wanted to make it one. If Cornette was well liked, Bubba would have just been told to not be such a pussy.

For those who don't get to see OVW here is the WWE related stuff tonight:

 

Simon Dean is going to go after the OVW title next week as he just took out Brent Albright.

 

MNM was supposed to wrestle tonight but instead did a long in-ring interview at the first of the show.

 

And they announced Rey Mysterio will be at the OVW Six Flags show.

 

Al Snow has taken over for Cornette.
