Yes, I think he has. His mic skills and character are awesome, and for a hoss, he's a pretty decent worker.

I'd say that JBL deserves an upper-midcard spot and a long reign with the US title (and I think he would draw good in that role). I just can't see him as being a credible WWE champion. I like the main champions in any wrestling promotion to have an aura about them; something intangible that makes you take this person seriously and makes you believe that he's the cream of the crop. JBL entertains, but he doesn't really feel like a main eventer.

 

That being said, I NEVER thought that Bradshaw would entertain me. If anything, he's proven that he belongs in a high-profile spot in WWE.

JBL with the U.S. title is all that he deserves in my opinion, he's not good enough to be a main eventer because he's barely watchable on a gimmicked match (I Quit, Steel Cage, Casket) or when he is being carried by an amazing performer like Eddy or Angle and his promos are very generic.
