zyn081 0 Report post Posted June 12, 2005 I find that hard to believe, but yeah I guess HBK was out from WMX14 and Rock hadnt really made it then.
Lord of The Curry 0 Report post Posted June 12, 2005 Don't boo the girls, boo the company for putting them out there instead of other things. It's not their fault. They're just seizing an opportunity. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Unless Vince, Kevin Dunn or somebody else high-up comes out in front of the crowd to take the shots, those bitches are going down. Dobbs 3K 0 Report post Posted June 12, 2005 WWE needs to be punished for putting crap on TV like the diva search, and the best way to do that is to boo the hell out of it. Maybe it's not the girls' fault, like someone said, but the only way to let WWE know how much we hate it is to let them know as much as possible. Frankly, I'd like to hear some creative chants like "this sh!t sucks!" or "kill the sluts!" That might get things rolling.
Jericholic82 0 Report post Posted June 12, 2005 All I remember from that "pie eating" segment was that The Rock seemed embarassed to be involved in the segment and was probably finally aware of how bad things had become since he had been around full-time. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yea I sensed that too. Hell I was embarrased to be sitting in the crowd for that horrible raw episode. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> And guess what? The Raw/Smackdown supershow in Anaheim on the 27th is the night when the 2005 Diva Search contestants will debut in front of a live audience. Will you be there, Jericholic82? I will be, and I'll be booing the fuck out of those bitches. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Sadly no, my dad is back in NY right now and wont be back till then so I didnt try and get tix. Besides, he hated drving all the way to anaheim last time so there waas little chance anyway lol But I apprecitae that you will be there to represent the IWC in booing the diva crap. Of course, however it won't matter. back to the topic, I hope Rock has another run in the future, as I think he can be used in a positive way to help the young guys (yea right) and I know that he has the ability to put on another classic big match. He wasn't the greatest worker, but his charisma and his uncanny ability to control the crowd, makes any of his matches special. I never got to see austin live in the prime years of 98-99, but when I finally got to see rock live in LA in 01, I was blown away by the crowds reaction and the energy Rock emits in response to them. Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted June 13, 2005 People to feud with: vs Cena vs Christian vs CCC vs Eugene vs Benjamin I dont get the vs Conway matchup and he surely has wrestled Michaels sometime. Add to the list of my matches above: vs Orton (3rd gen vs 3rd gen superstar - I was actually hoping that the Foley-Orton match would have been held of till Bad Blood, and The Rock fought Orton and Backlash since Orton took Foley out) vs OJ (the Rocky Johnson connection) vs Eddie (imagine the promos) vs JBL (imagine the promos) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I don't know anything about OJ, Eugene, Benjamin, or even how good Orton and JBL would be since I haven't been watching in a couple years, but how could everyone forget Rock's best matches were probably with Jericho (and of course, not to discount his monolithic matches against Austin or fantastic brawls with 2000 HHH and Foley)

The only thing he can do at this point with Jericho is put him over totally clean, and really that wouldn't do jackshit for Jericho's character without a sustained push after the fact, which HHH won't likely be willing to allow. Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted June 13, 2005 What actually put me off of WWE for so long was, being a huge Y2J mark for quite some time, hoping he was finally going somewhere when he was going up against Shawn Michaels at WM 19, which was the very last wrestling show I've watched in its entirety (I've only seen bits and pieces, no longer than 15 minutes at a time, of any show since then, if at all). I still hold a grudge against HBK for that. He really deserves a long run at the top, but they've probably fucked up his character so bad over the past couple of years that there's no hope for him, but I can still try and think otherwise, you know? USC Wuz Robbed! 0 Report post Posted June 13, 2005 Absolutely. You're entitled that. My point is that Rock has done his part to "put over" Jericho. Now it's otHHHer people's turn to put Jericho over. Rock is better off either staying away from WWE, as to not associate himself with the crap that's going on, or continuing appearing in the most random way for no reason to put over the smallest thing. His days as a weighty jobber is pretty much over.
Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted June 13, 2005 I agree. Rock serves no other purpose than to come back and make occasional guest appearances. And even though it wouldn't really "serve a purpose", I would love seeing another round of Rock-Y2J, if just on the mic at least. Rock's the first athlete turned actor to truly make it out in Hollywood, so I don't think he really cares anyways.

He's still stuck either doing supporting roles in A minus-films or lead roles in B-films. I'd dig a heel Rock vs refreshed face Jericho though. That's something they haven't really explored yet. Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted June 13, 2005 Absolutely. Jericho just doesn't work effectively at all as a heel in WWE because they won't let any heels not named HHH get over cleanly. That would be refreshing and interesting, but it's best Rock stays away from wrestling from now on anyways.
Jobber of the Week 0 Report post Posted June 13, 2005 Dream matches... Rock vs. Eugene <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Whaaaaa?! Shawn Michaels and The Rock/Rocky Maivia have never met in the WWE. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> They've never had a certified match, although there was precedent for one and they never did anything about it. When Shawn superkicked Rock in the face during an early SmackDown. Rock did a "turn it sideways" promo aimed at him the next week but then it never got thought of again. That's all it takes. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Its Zyon. Zyon sees you. I meant it as like Cena makes fun of JBL, and then the camera pans back and they show the Rock in the background. All it would take was something like Rock saying, yeah, what he said. Then hed just say that JBL has no chance, since Cena smells like Hollywood and is going to rock the house down tonight.
