2GOLD 0 Report post Posted January 4, 2006 Well Jesus didnt start preching 30, so maybe he's already back, but will just be in his prime in 2012. It could be any one of us. It's Rip Taylor. And I also missed the line in the bible where Jesus says, "Be back in 2012! Have bread, water, wine and pizza ready bitches!" End of the World theories bring fear, fear brings visits to religion, visits to religion boasts the income of the church. Therefore, all End of the World theories were created by the catholic church. And the Holocaust was just invented to throw us off the trail. There, that makes about as much sense as some of the other ideas.

Matt Young 0 Report post Posted January 6, 2006 Some friends and I were discussing aliens, which led to time travel, which led to the concept of time, which led to talk of the end of days, how it would come about, and how religion may or may not tie in. It was a fascinating 2 hour conversation between the 5 of us which we intend to pick up on tomorrow.

Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted January 7, 2006 I hate those talks. They always used to happen with quiz bowl teammates right as I was about to go to bed, leading invariably to me lying awake for hours due to the pure horror the concept of death fills me with. 2GOLD 0 Report post Posted January 7, 2006 Nope. All of us were sober. Nerds. Prolly talked about it in Klingon while discussing the future D&D club season.
Matt Young 0 Report post Posted January 7, 2006 Haha... I know it's beside the point, but although I have many nerdy interests (wrestling, comic books, anime) D&D and live action role playing were things that I tried once and ended up hating myself for weeks. I don't know how anyone who engages in such activities can have any sort of self-respect.

I don't know how anyone who engages in such activities can have any sort of self-respect. It's fun when the women want to play naked. Especially when they are hot. Now excuse me, I have to get away from you nerds and go watch Stargate SG-1.
