who gives up a hit to HENRY BLANCO?

Who goes to a 3-2 count on Henry Blanco TWICE, and ENRIQUIE WILSON once?

HONESTLY~!?

When will the Yankees learn that NL pitchers do NOT WORK in the AL, especailly if their control pitcers?

And Yankee fans once again display extreme intelligence.

:bonk:

I'll give Pavano a hundred chances to succeed because we're stuck with him, but I DIDN'T want him, I DIDN'T think he'd pitch well in the Bronx, and he BLEW a 4-0 lead with a weak ass performance. The Yankees need warriors. Pavano is not a warrior.

Carlvier Pavquez, prove me wrong you filthy overpaid faggot

Jeffery Mayer the 2nd?

Not really.

The fan had his glove in the stands area and David Newhan was trying to make a catch over the wall. The fan put his glove over Newhans glove and caught the ball, and then acted like a bigshot "OOH LOOK AT ME I CAUGHT A HR"

If they lose this game 1-0, that guy doesn't make it out of Camden Yards alive.

Good win, but its still crappy the way Pavano pitched. Even though we were up 4-0, you just knew the 2nd time through the order he was in trouble. I mean, he wasn't getting hit hard I guess, and I suppose Florida infielders gets that base hit in the 5th, and reaches the two run single in the 6th. Still, the way Pavano pitches gives me no confidence for him in October.

Damn Mike I didnt find out till the 5th that the game was on wgn which i have here in socal for some reason.

Predictably, as soon as I started watching it they went and gave up 3 runs. Actually I blame womack as the chi announcer rightfully pointed out that he was uncomfortable with his outfielders glove and fumbled with the ball in the glove. I think he could have stopped two of of the runs if he wasnt such a green OF (seriously Joe give it up womack is not a LF and never will be) funny how matsui tears it up after he gets hurt, the dh rule is golden for us tonight.

I agree on Pavano, I never thought it was a good idea to sign him just cuz the sox wanted him (just like contreras) letting lieber and hernandez walk may have hurt them the most this year. a year after they let pettitte go.

stop signing these flavor of the month pitchers every year.

on the bright side were back in third place and only 5 games back now. They must sweep this series. especially considering that they are bringing up Henn to pitch in the next series.

How can you defend his extreme unability to pitch?

It was apparent that Torre left in Pavano too long. I didn't see anything terribly bad off of Pavano. In fact, the Yankees' problem appeared more the poor defense at shortstop, and the fact that Ernie Lombardi would run on Tony Womack's arm without fear.

Ok, it's days like this that I really hate Fox.

Both Fox 56 and Fox 5 are showing the Yankees/Cubs game. Which means that because of Fox's network coverage, the team that I get on my cable coverage EVERY GAME is not on television today. Fuck Fox. They are truly a cancer on baseball.

He tried to do a Tim McCarver impersonator... that's why it sounded bad.

Hey Al, Fox is tortuning you with a Phillies game break and Buck and McCarver are talking about them TOO UGH!

Actually, I am listening to the game on XM Radio. Athletics' announcers Bill King and Ken Korac are a pleasure to listen to.

Like a Red Sox fan force to listen to Charley Steiner.

Seriously, they are terrific. Bill King spent 10 minutes discussing the history of the Phillies, namedropping Pete Alexander and Eppa Rixey. They are easily one of the top five announcing crews today.
