Guest Ransome Report post Posted June 15, 2005 Can anyone explain to me the deal with Jim Ross from 1993 to 1996? I wasn't watching at the time, but I've seen him announcing at Wrestlemania 9 and then again circa Summerslam 96 as the 'bitter' Jim Ross, around the time of his association with the fake Diesel and Razor Ramon. Can someone fill me in on what happened imbetween? Is it true he got fired more than once?

Jericholic82 0 Report post Posted June 15, 2005 He did get fired twice. He was gone in early 94 after he got bells palsy for the first time. He came back in 95 (he was at wm 11) I am not sure when he got fired the second time.
spman 0 Report post Posted June 15, 2005 The first time JR was fired was simply a cost cutting measure.

MDH257 0 Report post Posted June 16, 2005 After getting fired the first time, they brought him back during the summer of '94. He announced Raw for a couple of weeks while Vince was on trial. I think he got canned again after Vince got aquitted and they didn't need him anymore.
Guest The Fuckin Show Report post Posted June 22, 2005 What two reasons to Vince give JR for firing him? Cause no one can just fire someone not even Vince Mcmahon or Jim Ross could have sued him
