iliketurtles 0 Report post Posted June 16, 2005 All over the news...nothing too major, but certainly intresting with the earthquake that happened in Northern California earlier this week.
Matt Young 0 Report post Posted June 16, 2005 Yeah, I posted about this in general discussion. It definitely surprised the hell out of me, shaking my whole house. It was the first earthquake I've felt. The one here in Riverside county on Sunday morning didn't do anything to my house.
iliketurtles 0 Report post Posted June 16, 2005 Where do you live? And do you know what happened to that kidnapping car chase from today? It was going into Ventura County when I had to go out to do errands.
Matt Young 0 Report post Posted June 16, 2005 I live in Moreno Valley, just outside of Riverside. I'm not sure what hapepned with the kidnapping/car chase. I was told about it, but I haven't watched the news. I doubt it's as entertaining as the chase from a week or so ago where the driver drove on the wrong side of the road for no reason and ended up crashing into a garage at the end of a cul de sac. Guest Report post Posted June 16, 2005 Here's a link Quake I called someone that lives in San Bernadino, which is 15 miles closer to the quake than I am and they said that they could not feel the quake.

Guest Smues Report post Posted June 16, 2005 I don't know the backstory on the car chase as I can't find anything online, but I watched the whole thing on TV and after about an hour and a half he pulled over somewhere and sat there for about 15 minutes. First some woman left the car, then later another woman and one of the kids, and finally they took the baby and arrested the drive.r

Big McLargeHuge 0 Report post Posted June 17, 2005 Bah, this was nothing. Now, the tornadoes that hit Sacramento earlier in the year, THAT scared the shit out of me.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Report post Posted June 18, 2005 Pfft. Good for kite-flying. I live under the fire escape at the end of tornado alley. This one year..I can't remember exactly when since I was only 7 or 8..we had an F3 rip through the southern part of the county. Driving around with my mom the day after, we saw an uprooted 2-2.5 foot thick tree imbedded in the roof of a barn. That's fuckin' badass. Hopefully this will be the year I get a picture of myself pointing a shotgun at a tornado.
