Just seen on PuroresuPower.com that...

Ivan Trembow reports that WWE is working with author Thom Loverro to produce a new book on ECW called "The Rise and Fall of ECW." What makes this interesting is that there have been rumblings of an independently-produced (non-WWE) ECW book coming out in the works. It appears that much like Hardcore Homecoming and One Night Stand (two shows that competed with each other), we'll have two different ECW books shortly.

Here is where they've got the report from.

Will be very interesting to see how each of the books deal with the responsibility of Vince and the WWF for the decline of ECW.

if you want 250 pages of Anti-Bischoff ranting, then give Heyman the pen.

Just a guess, but an ECW book from the WWE will probalby end up being with some revisionist history.

Ya think?

From the back cover:

"E-C-W. Three letters still echoed by sports entertainment fans in sold out WWE arenas spanning the globe. But what was it really all about? For the WWE superstars who experienced it, the violence, bloodshed and mayhem was really all about fun. Relive the story of the little promotion from South Philadelphia run by the whacky mad science, Paul Heyman, and learn how the stars of ECW became the Superstars of WWE! Learn the shocking details of Mr. Mcmahon and the WWE's philanthropic secret funding of ECW to counteract the brutal talent raids of a shared rival, in WCW President Eric Bischoff. Hear from former ECW stars including Stone Cold Steve Austin and Mick Foley, as they share classic memories about the controversies, the brutality and the excitement that was ECW. And read about the afterlife, as ECW is resurrected for a One Night Stand by Mr. Mcmahon, despite the best efforts of a groupf of RAW and Smackdown crusaders to stop it! Also features a special forward by an unlikely source in former WWE champion John Bradshaw Layfield, as he gives his unique thoughts on the legacy of ECW and it's fans."
