Saw it earlier, nice stiff fight but the highspots were just ugly botches so it was hard to take it as a serious wrestling match.

I think the spots like the Powerslam and the exploder were pretty much meant to be sold that way. Necro's a crazy bastard and doesn't give a shit about his well being, so I'm sure he probably bumped those two moves on his forehead for the hell of it.

Which is awesome.

 

(Not counting the Enzuigiri, since Mauricio Shogun Rua did one in a real MMA bout. But, if you're anal, than go ahead.)

I don't think it's meant to be taken as a serious WRESTLING match...no Necro Butcher match ever is. Just a crazy, ugly brawl.

I've seen a lot of Joe on my ROH DVDS, but this was my first IWA:MS match....and all I have to say is wow...that was a crazy fight.

Remember kids, taking a face bump for an Exploder of the apron after being busted open hardway is never a good idea. That was the first cringeworthy spot I've seen in awhile, as in the "I'm not even sure I want to replay that" variety of spots.

The storyline was that Joe was pissed at Necro, who roughed up some ROH students at a Chikara show. But I think the match made Necro into the underdog babyface.

I don't know, I guess if you think him bailing when Necro attacked him after the match is turning heel, then yes. But I wouldn't say so.

The match was interesting, Joe pretty much killed Necro. I think it shows how good of a worker Joe is because all of his strikes and stuff were done pretty safe while still looking hard while Necro was just shoot punching and shit. On the Powerslam bump i dont think Necro wanted to take it that way, to me it looks like Joe slipped and fell when he was trying to get him over. The Exploder spot was just ugly with nethier man really doin it right i thought.

 

The match was a car crash, and i feared for Necros life
