--Raw on Monday night did a 3.8 rating, which has to be disappointing given the plugs for the show on VH-1 and the hype of Hogan being there as well as the idea that the Matt Hardy return and Diva Search should mean something in the ratings.

"plugs on VH-1" ?

Uh...when a shitty Hulk Hogan show is your network's #1 show in history, I don't know how many fans you're realistically gonna draw from advertising there.

The show deserved a 9.0 rating, which was the number of times I felt like leaving my seat, starting with the awful matches during Heat and finishing with a dark match involving 6 megastars who decided to punch their way through a 15 minute snoozer, with 5 of the 6 never even teasing, much less hitting, a finisher to psyche the crowd up.

Fuck Raw.

I dislike the idea of Raw being built around Hogan and Michaels. Shouldn't it be built around the champion (Cena)?

Yea RAW is headed down the crapper. I went to their house show (which I recapped already on this site) and I wasn't too thrilled with most of the matches. Sure, seeing Flair-Michaels was good for nostalgia and seeing the first Cena-HHH match was pretty cool BUT when you had to sit through 2+ hours of bad Carlito wrestling (although Shelton did his best to make that match something), Viscera & Big Show no selling everything, Tyson Tomko, Kerwin White's new offensive moveset which doesn't include ANY high risk moves, etc. it really starts to wear on you. It seems that right now they've got people who can talk or have some sort of charisma BUT THEY DON'T KNOW HOW TO WORK A MATCH! Plus, the WWE's "let's work safe" style makes the stuff boring as f*ck.

Raw built around a champ who isn't HHH? That will never happen.
