if you love music you'll love this

This has to be the coolest show that i've seen in awhile. I have to say that i am a huge music fan and after awhile i got really tired of american idol. This show is was more edgy and refreshing. Plus everyone on it is soooo talented.

 

Last night's show was awesome! Soooo much drama. Jordis has killer pipes, i really hope she wins.

OK, I don't mean to slam you, but that was such a markish first post I had to check to see if I was in the Wrestling forum. Anyways...

 

If by "edgy" you mean that they're competing to front a band and charisma means just as much (if not more) as singing ability, or that Dave Navarro is (maybe unintentionally) trying to prove that Carmen Electra is his beard, then yes, it is "edgy".

 

Otherwise, well, it's a singing audition to front a band, with some minor label recording artists (Tara Sloane and the black guy come to mind) mixed in with garage band types. Nothing particularly earth-shattering here, but it's decent summer fare, and the type of reality tv that I welcome.

I think it's a crock of shit. INXS died with Michael Hutchence. They should've at least picked a different name or something.

Anyone else have a problem with shows like this that try to replace a band member that died? I mean your lead singer kills himself and you have a reality show to replace him? I'm not saying they shouldn't move but, there are better ways they could have done it. I feel the same way about the TLC reality show to.

is that TLC show out yet? Something seems...odd....to me about replacing a dead member of your group through a reality TV show contest...

There's that lingering feeling that it's wrong somehow, but as this will lead to the inevitable "Spinal Tap search for a new drummer", I'm ok with it...
