Guest Rrrsh Report post Posted July 31, 2005 Nunzio vs London started it off. Lots of fun, much better than their Heat match. It looks like this will be the MOTN

ChrisMWaters 0 Report post Posted July 31, 2005 What was the deal with Eddie's voice? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Reminds me of one time when The Rock was losing his voice during a promo either with or against Foley. FUNAKI WAI! And Mr. Future.

claydude14 0 Report post Posted July 31, 2005 You can see me beind Romero and Matthews after London is announced; I had floor seats 5th row back behind them. We didn't buy tickets until we got to the arena and then bought the cheapest seats. We were RIGHT on the side of the Smackdown tron on camera side; so far right that we couldnt even see the tron. So we just kept walking to the left like 5 sections then some guy offered 2 floor seats because his son couldnt see on the floor. 3 of us went (meeting another kid we knew from town who's kind've a novelty at the ticket buying window, ridiculous timing) and so me and the novelty went to the floor. Because a brother of mine who is 21 couldnt go though I decided I should eat shrooms before Smackdown! I was only on the floor for Velocity. There I am~! cabbageboy 0 Report post Posted July 31, 2005 Actually I think Kazarian looks more like Antonio Banderas, haha. Put the Mariachi outfit on him and it'd be eerie. Never thought much of the guy when I saw him on a few NWA shows but he's growing on me here.
Lord of The Curry 0 Report post Posted July 31, 2005 London did a springboard double-stomp to the back of Nunzio's neck. I have never seen that move done before up until that point. Bravo, Paul.
AnonymousBroccoli 0 Report post Posted July 31, 2005 I liked Kazarian's reverse leapfrog into an Edge-o-Matic in the corner. There was a handful of cool spots during the first two matches. And London's SSP still gives me goosebumps, it's so smooth.
Silence 0 Report post Posted July 31, 2005 ...And WWE's STILL cancelling Velocity this fall? Bleh, unless WWE suddenly starts showcasing the cruiserweights more on Smackdown, which I unfortunately doubt except every once in a while. Aside from that, it'll just be the Mexicools that we'll probably still see regularly by September.
AnonymousBroccoli 0 Report post Posted July 31, 2005 ...And WWE's STILL cancelling Velocity this fall?<{POST_SNAPBACK}> I don't think the USA schedule is a sure thing yet. And it would probably be their call, rather than WWE's.

WWE still might not utilize the Cruiserweight division properly on Smackdown, though.
Aero 0 Report post Posted August 1, 2005 I only saw London-Nunzio, and I thought it was one of the better Velocity matches this year. Like Curry mentioned, the springboard double-stomp was awesome, and then there was London's swank SSP. For a little less then 7 minutes, it was great. Almost non-stop action except for a few instances with Nunzio trying to ground London.
