Special K Posted August 1, 2005 Report Posted August 1, 2005 When browsing with Windows Explorer, after a couple screens, it'll start moving REALLY slowly, and when I look at it with Windows task manager, even though my CPU is at like 2%, Eplorer's taking all of my (admittedly meager) PF usage. It never did this before. By ending the explorer process and working everything through run and Windows task manager, everything goes smoothly, but this is a royal pain in my ass. I've ran my spyware programs, and cleaned my register. Any ideas?
Carnival Posted August 10, 2005 Report Posted August 10, 2005 how many K is it using? shouldn't be more than like 20,000k.
admin Posted August 10, 2005 Report Posted August 10, 2005 Could be a possible bad hard drive or bad sectors, which can cause a system to hang or act similar, without using CPU or much memory. Just a guess though
Special K Posted August 16, 2005 Author Report Posted August 16, 2005 It'll shoot up to 45,000. Bah, I need more RAM anyways. Time to drop a couple bills on the old girl.
