New Wrestling Promotion on ESPN

The WWWA will be producing a TV show to air on ESPN.

 

HACKSAW JIM DUGGAN NOW PART OWNER AND NEW LEADER FOR The World Wide Wrestling Alliance

 

 

David Nelson, the CEO for the WWWA Wrestling Company gave a speech before the show on the 21st. He was talking in front of over 45 wrestlers and announced he was stepping down as the leader of the WWWA and introduced Hacksaw Jim Duggan as the new head of the Company.

Minutes later, Jim Duggan gave a 30 minute talk to the wrestlers, crew, and family members

about the future of the company and his expectations for the wrestlers. This was followed by Jim Duggan, TC Reynolds, and Dave Nelson, calling the first 20 Wrestlers from the Independent Federations all over the U.S. to Sign the first contracts with 3WA and Jim Duggan.

 

Announcements were made for the upcoming TV show to premiere on ESPN in late October, as well as the AFE tour to entertain the troops in Iraq for the holidays. Also announced was the upcoming pay per view for October 29th to kick off the weekly TV Show.

 

With Hacksaw Jim Duggan leading the company, the WWWA will make wrestling history. The WWWA will be producing a family orientated wrestling show. The WWWA will feature famous legends of the industry and young potential superstars who will work together in a team oriented atmosphere. Many current superstars from around the world will also be involved as marquee talent for big events. The goal is to change the face of wrestling - to bring back a wrestling show that millions of fans have been waiting for.

 

Other announcements from August 21 include:

 

-The WWWA has addedfour new members to the team team:

Senior Referee: Tony Wolfe

Senior Announcer: David Lanning Jr.

Commentators: Mike Ripple & Scotty

 

-NWA Ohio will be run independantly under new ownership.

-The WWWA will be moving the home office to Orlando Florida soon. An office in Columbus will be maintained for production staff. Television production facilities will be located in Columbus. A studio for some ESPN production will be located in Orlando.

 

-There will be two training facilities for the 3WA:

One located in Orlando Florida and ran by Richard Arpin.

The second in Ohio and ran by Jeff "Big Guns"Cannon.

The training facilities will be named after the leader of 3WA:

HACKSAW JIM DUGGANS TRAINING ACADAMY.

 

The board of directors for 3WA has yet to announce the remaining 3 members. Negotiations are in the works with the best and most talented in the industry. The wrestling world and fans will be amazed when the announcements are made. One potential Board Member is a household name and one of the biggest names in the wrestling industry. When his current contract expires, the name will be announced.

Jesus christ, whoever does these press releases needs to take a technical writing class or something, it makes them look SO bad when you put out something like this. I could write a better release than this back when I was 10 years old.

 

Anyway, this is certainly interesting news but I dont know if it's necessarily true. When I see some official word from ESPN, then I'll start believing. If true, one has to assume they had to pay a TON to get a weekly show on the channel.

 

Time will tell on this but another interesting facet is the talk about moving production for the show to Orlando? That CANT just be coincidence since this group has been battling TNA to a degree, or at least the assumption is they will be now.

 

Whatever the case alot of shady talk in this release, so it could still be a complete joke and nothing but talk.
