OFFICIAL SHOW MATCHES

1) RICKY REYES def. PUMA via rear choke.

2) CHAD COLLYER def. DAVEY ANDREWS, JIMMY JACOBS, & KEVIN STEEN when he made Davey Andrews tap out to the texas cloverleaf. Said to have a few cool spots.

3) HOMICIDE def. EL GENERICO after an ace crusher & lariat. Homicide dominated most of the match, Generico had a hope spot, but that didn't last too long. Homicide left an inprint of his hand on Generico's chest.

Shingo Takagi makes his way out. Christopher Daniels music hits...but he's nowhere to be found. Then out comes... CURRY MAN!!!

4) CURRY MAN def. SHINGO TAKAGI via the spicy drop. Comedy spot with a push-up contest. Said to be very good. After the match, Takagi talked about Danielson telling him about ROH and said he would like to come back. Daniels also said a few words.

5) NIGEL MCGUINNESS def. SAMOA JOE to WIN the ROH pure wrestling championship. Nigel cheated alot, with closed fist behind the ref's back. Nigel lost a rope break after a chair shot. Joe lost when Nigel hit an ace crusher with his feet on the ropes. After the match, they went to shake hands and Joe kicked him in the head. Joe runs off Nigel with a chair or Nigel runs of Joe with an iron after the match I think, a bit sketchy.

INTERMISSION

6) THE RING CREW EXPRESS OF DUNN & MARCOS def. SHANE HAGADORN & MATT TURNER

7) THE EMBASSY OF SPANKY & JIMMY RAVE def. AUSTIN ARIES & RODERICK STRONG. Strong with some really hard chops in this one. Rave countered a Aries roll-up, Shelley hit Aries with the chair, and Rave won with the roll-up.

8) CIMA def. AJ STYLES. Very good, lots of great mat work. Didn't catch the finish cause he's breaking up alot.

ROH returns to Buffalo on 10/15 with Samoa Joe vs. Nigel McGuinness in a rematch and Gen. Next vs. The Embassy in an anything goes match.

9) JAMES GIBSON def. COLT CABANA to retain the ROH world heavyweight championship via choke. The crowd was in clear favor of Colt Cabana. Really good match with some good high impact moves.

Holy shit I wish I knew they had a card in Buffalo. Looks like it's a frequent stop though, I'll try and go to the October show. I would love to see ROH live.

You should. It's the best live wrestling expierence in America.

I've been to nearly 100 WWE/WCW/ECW shows and none of them could match the 5 ROH shows I've been too.

That list includes 10 PPV's including a WM.

The 10/15 show will be part of a double shot weekend, with Cleveland hosting it's first event ever for ROH (Yours truely will be attending this show) the night before.

Cleveland???  Are there any chances they'll ever make it to Indianapolis?

Chicago(Next show, 11-5) and Dayton (next show 1/27) now joined by new stops of Cleveland (10/14) and Detroit (11/4) are ROH's Mid-West stops.

Adding a 5th city for 2006 is likely but not Indy since it's directly in the center of all those midwest locations. (St. Louis, KC and Louisville are the favorites to be added to the mid-west)

Indiana is burnt out on independent wrestling anyways.

I'm sure it'd kill the Great American Bash from Buffalo this year

Losing four superbowls in a row or hosting the 2005 Great American Bash?

Which shamed the city of Buffalo more?

Anyway...this RoH show was the best of the 3 I've seen live.

The Embassy vs. Generation Next tag match was OFF THE CHARTS good. So good in fact, that the Styles/Cima match (which was really good) failed to top it. Cabana/Gibson was really good as well. The 4 way was suprisingly solid. Reyes/Puma was a fun little opener. Homicide/Generico and Takagi/Daniels were alright. I mark for hometown title changes...and the rare Joe loss...but the match was kind of just there. I blame Nigel.

DGI has been getting great early reviews, which is great. Last week NOGII wasn't well received and even had alot of your typical angry ROHBOTs claiming ROH was slipping. Apprently ROH can't have an off-night once in awhile.

The Embassy/Gen Next stuff sounds incredible, it was great on 8.12 when I saw the first version of this war begin, looks like it's only getting better.

CIMA/AJ got great reviews as well, So I'm completely excited about getting this show when it comes out.

I really can't say enough about the Spanky/Rave vs. Aries/Strong match.

I honestly only came because Styles was there. I'm a huge mark. And although I enjoy Roh and have had a good time at two kind of blah local shows in the past...it wouldn't have killed me to miss it.

Then I watched Roderick Strong become a friggin superstar. This performance by Strong was incredible. So good in fact...that the biggest compliment I can give it...is that AJ vs. Cima almost touched it.

Strong for champion.

Spanky turned on Gibson in a tag match a couple weeks ago and had a title shot last week. Alex Shelley couldn't wrestle because of his back, so Nana said he was going to offer someone a chance to be part of the embassy for one night only. Spanky accepted.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised that Samoa Joe dropped the belt since he seems to be focusing on TNA now.

I don't think The TNA aspect really had all that much to do with the decision to take the title off Joe.

Joe's in a violent hate feud with the Rotties right now and the Pure Title really doesn't fit into that equation. Also, Nigel has been doing pretty well this year and I think it was due time he gets something for it.

He's also a great sneaky arrogant asshole heel.

Can anyone verify what happened after the match?
