Secret Agent Posted September 3, 2005 Report Posted September 3, 2005 So I'm wondering; will this hurricane have any effect on LSU's season or the school itself?
Bored Posted September 3, 2005 Author Report Posted September 3, 2005 teke would know better but by all accounts they will play their big game against Arizona State next week. Really they almost have to as rescheduling one game isn't hard but rescheduling two could cause some serious issues. An additional note to something I posted earlier, Tulane will play fall sports after all. The football team will likely play their home games some where in Texas. U of A cuts Utah's lead to three with a little over nine minutes to go.
Damaramu Posted September 3, 2005 Report Posted September 3, 2005 I'm really pulling for Arizona because of the attachment to Mike Stoops. My early line for OU/TCU is 38-17 in favor of OU.
Damaramu Posted September 3, 2005 Report Posted September 3, 2005 Damn......should've gone for it on 4th and 5 Zona.
teke184 Posted September 3, 2005 Report Posted September 3, 2005 Last I've heard is that LSU *might not* play at home until November. The Arizona State game could end up being played in Tempe, as I don't think there's even space to put up the Arizona State team in Baton Rouge right now if they wanted to have the game here. The rest of their home games this year could get interesting, depending on the situation here in BR. My guess is that LSU plays AT Arizona State and AT Tennessee at the least. The rest of their home games don't appear to start until October, at which time it may be feasable to play in BR.
therealworldschampion Posted September 3, 2005 Report Posted September 3, 2005 If that's the case and the LSU/Tennessee game is played in Knoxville, then Tennessee's road to Pasadena just got a whole lot easier...
Bored Posted September 3, 2005 Author Report Posted September 3, 2005 What about Shreveport? It seats over 50,000.
Vern Gagne Posted September 3, 2005 Report Posted September 3, 2005 Interesting note about Myron Rolle, he actually lives in Galloway, which is 20 mins away from me. He goes to The Hun school up in Princeton as its a prep school. That being said, since he said he was keen on going to a school that is great academically, why go to Florida State and not Michigan, which is way better in regards to academics? My guess is Bowden used those great closing powers when it comes to recruiting and got Rolle that way... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Bowden probably asked for seconds when he came for dinner at Rolle's house.
Damaramu Posted September 3, 2005 Report Posted September 3, 2005 I have some hope for Mike Stoops' program this year. Just saying. Not like they'll go to a bowl but they'll do better than 3 wins.
teke184 Posted September 3, 2005 Report Posted September 3, 2005 What about Shreveport? It seats over 50,000. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Bored, No place in Louisiana is really feasable right now... The refugees from New Orleans are spread everywhere from Baton Rouge to Arkansas and Texas, which means every major city in Louisiana is not exactly capable of hosting a large football game anytime soon. With Tennessee, it would be easy enough for them to play us at Tennessee this year and to come to Death Valley next year, as we still have them on the schedule next year.
therealworldschampion Posted September 3, 2005 Report Posted September 3, 2005 Damn Bowling Green is really taking it to Wisconsin right now, 20-7 right now
Guest *KNK* Posted September 3, 2005 Report Posted September 3, 2005 I'm just hoping my school can fare decently against Ohio State. At least keep it close is all I ask for.
therealworldschampion Posted September 3, 2005 Report Posted September 3, 2005 Wisconsin's scored 2 touchdowns and made it 21-20
Urban Warfare Posted September 3, 2005 Report Posted September 3, 2005 TCU really making OU work. It is 7-0 and TCU is currently in the redzone and so far Adrian Peterson hasn't done anything.
therealworldschampion Posted September 3, 2005 Report Posted September 3, 2005 Heh OU losing to TCU would be quite hilarious....now TCU is up 10-0, and Wisconsin scored another TD and made it 28-20
Slayer Posted September 3, 2005 Report Posted September 3, 2005 We may not have to wait two months for the inevitable Dama-meltdown
Guest *KNK* Posted September 3, 2005 Report Posted September 3, 2005 Okay Miami. Just don't get shut out. At least do me that much.
Urban Warfare Posted September 3, 2005 Report Posted September 3, 2005 Fumble recovered by OU in TCU territory. Bomar just completed a pass so that puts OU in reasonable field goal range but they miss a 50 yarder. 10-0 at the half.
therealworldschampion Posted September 3, 2005 Report Posted September 3, 2005 I thought Dama said he was going to be much calmer this year as he wasn't expecting much from OU, maybe 9-10 wins, but not an undefeated season...
Bored Posted September 3, 2005 Author Report Posted September 3, 2005 I had a feeling Bowling Green/Wisconsin might be the game of the day. Omar Jacobs throws his 4th touchdown of the half, tie game 35-35.
Slayer Posted September 3, 2005 Report Posted September 3, 2005 It's very interesting. Wisconsin is running all over BG (200 yards in the first), while BG is passing wild over UW (300+ yards in the first)
Urban Warfare Posted September 3, 2005 Report Posted September 3, 2005 Damn. I was really hoping to pick up the Bowling Green-Wisconsin game but GamePlan isn't carrying it.
Bored Posted September 3, 2005 Author Report Posted September 3, 2005 It's on ESPN. Bowling Green's defense just can't match up against the Wisconsin o-line. Jacobs may have to throw another four touchdowns this half to win.
Urban Warfare Posted September 3, 2005 Report Posted September 3, 2005 I live in Canada so I don't get ESPN.
Gert T Posted September 3, 2005 Report Posted September 3, 2005 Wisconsin proving that old school ain't always cool. Damn with OSU wrapping up Miami, I was hoping to go run before the big afternoon games. But, with this BG-Wisconsin shootout, I guess I'll have to stay in and sit on my ass!
Urban Warfare Posted September 3, 2005 Report Posted September 3, 2005 Blocked punt for OU and that is massive.
therealworldschampion Posted September 3, 2005 Report Posted September 3, 2005 Wisconsin is up 49-35, and will probably win this game since Bowling Green cannot stop the run at all
therealworldschampion Posted September 3, 2005 Report Posted September 3, 2005 Bomar fumbles at OU's 16, and Dama probably is having a seizure...
Guest *KNK* Posted September 3, 2005 Report Posted September 3, 2005 At least we finally scored with 2 minutes left to play.
