the max 0 Report post Posted August 30, 2005 Got the Sirius satellite radio a few weeks ago for my work truck. This kicks ass and I recommend it to anyone who doesn't already have it. Commercial free music is even better than I imagined. My only problem is that I don't know if there was a software update or what, but a friend of mine has the same radio that I have (The Sirius sportster) and he's able to change the image that comes on at startup. He has the New England Patriots logo come on everytime he powers his radio on. I have no such options. Mine only can display the Sirius logo and the queer little dog. Just wondering if anyone else has the same issue. I haven't contacted them yet, since it's really only a minor issue and nothing to get bent out of shape about, but it irks me a bit is all. Jobber of the Week 0 Report post Posted August 30, 2005 The Sportster is a model of Sirius radio that caters specifically to NFL fans, since Sirius has the license to air their games. Push Menu to bring up the Menu screen, use the knob to rotate through the opens on the screen and push the knob in to choose "Favorite Team." There you can choose a team and that team's logo will appear on startup. If you set this option, it will automatically turn on Game Alert, which means that if your in the car and your team is playing a game, the radio will beep and give you a moment to push the knob and be sent to the game. So don't set a team logo if you don't want to be beeped when that team is playing a game. If you didn't know how to do this, you should look in the manual (if you don't have one, there's an online PDF version here) because there's more stuff you can do, like have it beep you when a song you like is played on any channel, etc.
the max 0 Report post Posted August 30, 2005 Already done that and I know about song alerts since I've already filled 20/20. Thanks though.
