Guys, quick question: I'm in a jam. I'm planning on making some bagel pizzas soon, but have no clue what sauce to use. What's the best store brand pasta/marinara/pizza sauce for me to use? I know that homemade is better but I need some prepared now. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Ragu or Prego. Can't really go wrong with either of those 2.

You might not think so, but there is a difference in the consistency of Spaghetti sauce vs actual Pizza sauce. I know that both of them make Pizza sauce, but most people I know use the spaghetti sauce instead cause it comes in a bigger jar and is cheaper.

Bad idea. Spahgetti sauce has more water in it and will soak the shit out of your crust. Pizza sauce is usually just tomato paste with some other stuff mixed in.

 

That said, you're probably better off making your own.

I would go with Prego sicne that is what my mom has used for years when making pasta or what have you, so I am used to it and don't like anything else. It does fine for pizza as well, as we hav emade many a pizaa with it over the years. Actually you're better off making english muffin pizzas, they are easier and yummy lol

 

Hell right now I am making some leftover spaghetti with prego (w/ mushrooms, though I hate mushrooms the sauce tastes good) sauce.
