I have the NERO StartSmart burning program on my computer since I got it, and up until now it's worked perfectly. I'd pop in a disc and burn a CD within 3-4 minutes. Excellent, right? But today I went to burn off some CDs and realised that it was taking an EXTRAORDINARY amount of time, as in 40 MINUTES to burn a CD??!

Anyways, is there something I did, and not realise it?

If anyone has any ideas or helpful hints, please share them.

This is driving me nutz!

In nero you can easily change the burn speed. Right before you click the "write" button there are options for finalizing the cd, burn speeds, and also test before burn. make sure you didn't select test before burning, and make sure the speed didn't get accidently changed. Also I doubt it, but the Cd's could be super shitty ones that only burn at like 2x. But thats not likely.

Probaly just not set to burn at full speed for some reason, it's easy to change.

As far as I know, it's still at 52x Burning Speed, which I've always had it at.

Also, I NEVER test burn my CDs, so that's not changed.

Even when the CD was burning (slowly I might add) I went to open the Internet Explorer and it took forever to open, if at all. Same with anything else I tried to do while burning..

Somethings fucked, I know it..
