RedJed 0 Report post Posted September 26, 2005 The show is so loaded already that adding this to it would be huge overkill from a "doing what's right for business" perspective. They'd be better off at this point using the Ironman match with these two at Survivor Series or even the next Raw brand ppv.
EdwardKnoxII 0 Report post Posted September 26, 2005 A 30 minute Iron Man match is really REALLY lame. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Not if it's not with the right wrestlers. Steamboat and Rude did a 30 minute Iron Man back in '92 in WCW that was a great match.

Hunter's Torn Quad 0 Report post Posted September 26, 2005 Rude/Steamboat was solid but a couple of things: 1. going 30 isn't as impressive as going 60 and 2. for some idiotic reason the US title wasn't on the line. (Gotta love the Watts era WCW....on a PPV they had great matches with Sting/Cactus and Rude/Steamboat and the titles weren't even on the line) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Steamboat had to win the match, but they didn't want him as US champion, so it had to be non-title. Now, with Sting beating Jack anyway, they could have easily made his match with Jack a title match, because the champion was winning.

With the amount of hype they've put into it, I imagine they're going for a 5.0+. Realistically, what kind of figures can they expect?

Realistically, what kind of figures can they expect? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I think they'll get between a 4.5 and a 4.9, with the biggest numbers coming for the overrun. Internally, I know they'll be wanting to break the 5.0 barrier, but I don't see that happening outside of the overrun, if at all.
Guest *KNK* Report post Posted September 27, 2005 Should we expect them to actually have the Bischoff/Cena match as the final or rather, The triumphant return of Triple H? I'm most curious about how they pace this show.
Hunter's Torn Quad 0 Report post Posted September 27, 2005 Should we expect them to actually have the Bischoff/Cena match as the final or rather, The triumphant return of Triple H? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Meltzer speculated on a Flair/Hunter vs. Carlito/Masters match taking place with Hunter turning on Flair and all three laying him out to start the Flair/Hunter program. If they do that, then that'll be what ends Raw.
