Guest stringerbell Posted September 24, 2005 Report Posted September 24, 2005 Austin Aries has signed a deal with TNA. Kevin Nash is expected to be involved in the main event for Bound for Glory. TNA is interested in Shannon Moore and Frankie Kazarian. TNA is interested in using Ultimo Dragon semi-regularly as well. Tito Ortiz will be involved in the Bound for Glory Main Event Program. His role will be determined at this Tuesday’s TV Taping, but most expect it to be as a special referee or corner man. Abyss vs. Sabu vs. Rhino vs. Jeff Hardy in a Monster's Ball 2 match (No DQ Anything Goes) has been officially added to the 10/23 Bound For Glory PPV. TNA is looking to push Samoa Joe huge in the coming months as TNA debuts on SPIKE TV. The latest word on the “former Dudleyz” is that they have trademarked the following names: Brother Ray Deadly, Brother Devon Deadly, The Deadly Brothers, Team 3D and The Deadly Death Drop. This is not official, and they may not necessarily use these names in TNA. Credit: PWInsider.com Wrestlingobserver.com
The Decemberists Posted September 24, 2005 Report Posted September 24, 2005 I am not liking "Deadly"... Might just be that I've so used to them being the Dudleys, but it really doesn't sound right. Having said that it's not as if I could've thought of anything better. Yay for signing Aries though
Guest Coffey Posted September 24, 2005 Report Posted September 24, 2005 If TNA signs all the ROH talent, can they still work ROH shows?
Guest Coffey Posted September 24, 2005 Report Posted September 24, 2005 We'll see how long that stays entact then, I guess. With TNA signing on to Spike TV and doing the DVD dealio, I'm weary to say the least. ROH without Strong, Joe, Styles, Aries, Punk, Homicide, Daniels, etc. would be...well, they'd need to make new stars.
Carnival Posted September 24, 2005 Report Posted September 24, 2005 Deadly But hey it's kinda close to dudley.

I'd assume Strong and Homicide got that treatment as well and Styles/Daniels get good faith.
Precious Roy Posted September 25, 2005 Report Posted September 25, 2005 So I guess we're looking at Jarrett v. Raven v. Nash at Bound For Glory, w/ Tito as the referee? It wouldn't make sense to have Nash and Tito in the corners.
David Blazenwing Posted September 25, 2005 Report Posted September 25, 2005 Brother Ray... Devon... THE DEADLY BOYZ!!! ...yep, WWE will find SOME way to threaten to sue TNA over this, mark my words.
Epic Reine Posted September 25, 2005 Report Posted September 25, 2005 Kevin Nash is expected to be involved in the main event for Bound for Glory. <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Silence Posted September 25, 2005 Report Posted September 25, 2005 Kevin Nash is expected to be involved in the main event for Bound for Glory. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Jarrett as the Champion and Nash in the main-event....nice going, TNA. That'll really get disgruntled wrestling fans to tune into the product.
Guest Coffey Posted September 25, 2005 Report Posted September 25, 2005 Deadly Death Drop? That's a little redundant, don't ya think?
SuperJerk Posted September 25, 2005 Report Posted September 25, 2005 Brother Ray... Devon... THE DEADLY BOYZ!!! ...yep, WWE will find SOME way to threaten to sue TNA over this, mark my words. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> "Devon! Get me a flat, horizontal surface so we can do a move not called the 3D!" http://www.thebwf.com/HBKasHHH.JPG
Magus Posted September 25, 2005 Report Posted September 25, 2005 Ortiz and Nash could be in Raven and Jarrett's corners, respectively. Personally, I think a triple threat of Raven vs. Jarrett vs. Nash is a good idea, with Ortiz as special enforcer. A good triple threat main event is a nice way to bring the audience in, and it sets up some good title matches for the future.
Guest MikeSC Posted September 25, 2005 Report Posted September 25, 2005 The only way it could set up good matches in the future if the 3 participants were changed to other people.

WWE only owns "Bubba Ray", correct? Couldn't he just call himself "Bubba" instead? IMO, simply "Bubba & Devon" would be miles better than something as lame as "The Deadly Brothers."
Ripper Posted September 26, 2005 Report Posted September 26, 2005 If they say it with a strong country accent they will still actually be saying "dudley" which I think is their point.
TheFranchise Posted September 26, 2005 Report Posted September 26, 2005 If they say it with a strong country accent they will still actually be saying "dudley" which I think is their point. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That's a VERY good point.
Ripper Posted September 26, 2005 Report Posted September 26, 2005 Yeah, and since they are saying it "Brother" Ray dudley, with a accent it would be "Brutha" which when said, will sound the exact same way.
