Slayer Posted September 25, 2005 Report Posted September 25, 2005 Minnesota wins, so at least we don't have to worry about an 0-16 season there
Guest *KNK* Posted September 25, 2005 Report Posted September 25, 2005 What exactly was he doing? You have a QB that can throw the ball the distance of the field...so you stupidly scramble to kill the game?
Brett Favre Posted September 25, 2005 Report Posted September 25, 2005 Was Akers crying? I know I am, fucking Jets. They had more chances than HBK at the title.

Cause there would have been 7 seconds or more, plenty of time for a deep middle ball and down for a game tying field goal to go to overtime against a team with a very hurt kicker.
mike546 Posted September 25, 2005 Report Posted September 25, 2005 Was Akers crying? I know I am, fucking Jets. They had more chances than HBK at the title. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Question, was Pennington benched for a period in the game? When I glanced over to the game, I heard the announcers say Fielder goes back to the bench as Pennington comes back in.
2GOLD Posted September 25, 2005 Report Posted September 25, 2005 Starks down and now Harrison. The NE secondary is officially fucked. Not they already weren't, but they are REALLY fucked now.
Slayer Posted September 25, 2005 Report Posted September 25, 2005 We join NE/Pitt already in progress... and are greeted with a leg inversion Ouch
CanadianChris Posted September 25, 2005 Author Report Posted September 25, 2005 Rodney Harrison is down and looks to be in bad shape. They're carting him off the field on the little tractor.

Question, was Pennington benched for a period in the game? When I glanced over to the game, I heard the announcers say Fielder goes back to the bench as Pennington comes back in. A few plays since he went to the locker room for x-rays on his shoulder. Unfortunately, Fiedler got his bell rung as well, so he came back in.

Fielder came in, and during his 2nd possession, after throwing a first down, he fell after being tackled, and seemed to have hurt his shoulder himself. Pennington came back in and finished the game.
2GOLD Posted September 25, 2005 Report Posted September 25, 2005 Is the Jets offensive line being paid to get the quarterbacks injured? Are they going with the 2005 BEARS gameplan of let the QB get hit as hard as you possibly can allow?
KingPK Posted September 25, 2005 Report Posted September 25, 2005 Well, if Ben is going to be able to throw the ball at will, can he at least throw them all to Ward to help my fantasy team?
Cartman Posted September 25, 2005 Report Posted September 25, 2005 No Harrison + No Bruschi = No Defense It was a good 4 years
NYU Posted September 25, 2005 Report Posted September 25, 2005 Yeah, Pennington finished the game all right. The Jets offense is just abysmal. Without their defense, they would have been blown out the first three games of the season.
Brett Favre Posted September 25, 2005 Report Posted September 25, 2005 Word. Pennington is throwing worse than right before surgery, although they say it will take a year for full recovery. Martin's been mediocre, Justin and Wayne dropped some balls today (Chrebet's would have probably won the game). The secondary has been average, but the DLine has been great.
razazteca Posted September 25, 2005 Report Posted September 25, 2005 Is the Jets offensive line being paid to get the quarterbacks injured? Are they going with the 2005 BEARS 2003 TEXANS gameplan of let the QB get hit as hard as you possibly can allow? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I can't wait to see the post game interview from Herm Edwards.
Guest Vitamin X Posted September 25, 2005 Report Posted September 25, 2005 By the way, football is really boring. I don't know why I tried to watch this Bears commercial break game. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Me neither, so why do you bother telling us that as well? I mean, I think baseball is about the same on the excitement and intensity level as golf or fishing, but you don't see me barging into your 5 million game season threads and complaining about watching the game. 0-3 and they still could honestly make the playoffs... Agreed, though probably for a different reason than you. Green Bay's a much better team than they looked today, but I'm really starting to think Sherman's losing a grip on the team. All these games have been extremely winnable games, but bad calls, stupid playcalling, stupid turnovers, and a lack of discipline when it comes to penalties have really killed them this year. They could be 3-0 just as easily as they could be 0-3. And with this schedule coming up: @CAR NO BYE @MIN @CIN PIT @ATL MIN @PHI That's a really, really tough stretch to come back. If they make the playoffs this year, they'd have more than proved their worth to be contending for a championship. I just don't see it happening unless they get their shit together, win the next two games, then regroup and get ready during the bye week for those killer six games (afterwards they play the Bears twice, Lions at home, Ravens in Baltimore, and the Seahawks at home to finish off the season).

And in WTF territory, Drew Bledsoe just rushed six yards for a touchdown.
2GOLD Posted September 25, 2005 Report Posted September 25, 2005 Jesus, Dallas has the worst secondary in football. All you have to do is throw it deep and someone from your team will beat them to it. Also Faulk should have kept two hands on that ball. Big mistake. Pats have been making lots of mistakes the last two games. Very undisciplined team all of a sudden.
Brett Favre Posted September 25, 2005 Report Posted September 25, 2005 "And he laterals, WHY! WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT!?"
KingPK Posted September 25, 2005 Report Posted September 25, 2005 And now Pittsburgh coughs it up as Randle El tries to be cute.
Guest *KNK* Posted September 25, 2005 Report Posted September 25, 2005 It's time for NE to bring in more scrubs.
Cartman Posted September 25, 2005 Report Posted September 25, 2005 No Harrison + No Bruschi + No Light = Season Over
Brett Favre Posted September 25, 2005 Report Posted September 25, 2005 Did the Dolphins lose? I'm too scared to check because of crappy ass browers.
KingPK Posted September 25, 2005 Report Posted September 25, 2005 With all the breaks and injury timeouts, this game might still be on by the time the Sunday night game starts.
Slayer Posted September 25, 2005 Report Posted September 25, 2005 Did the Dolphins lose? Miami won 27-24
mike546 Posted September 25, 2005 Report Posted September 25, 2005 Sorry, the Giants have the worst secondary in the NFL. They've gotten so desperate that their benching Will Allen and starting our 2nd round draft pick Corey Webster instead.

Plus add in the two plays LAST week, you have obviously the worst secondary in football.
