Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted October 11, 2005 Wow. And hey, I like Woody Allen. I certainly hope you're not saying this looks like the "first good movie" he's made... This looks like this year's version of Closer, right down to the director from the 70's and the supporting actress looking like the best part of the whole film. Mole 0 Report post Posted October 11, 2005 No, I meant it looks like his first good movie in a long time. It helps that he decided to do a movie outside of NYC.
Nighthawk 0 Report post Posted October 11, 2005 Bananas was about the only Woody Allen movie I liked. Oh, and What's Up, Tiger Lily? also, I suppose. Kung Pow was better, though.

The problem is, he tends to come out with soooooo many movies, he kind of just goes with every idea he's ever had for a film and make it happen, and often times it doesn't work (Hollywood Ending was fucking atrocious). I enjoyed: Bananas (obvious reasons), Everything You've Always Wanted to Know About Sex But Were Afraid To Ask, Sleeper, Annie Hall, Crimes and Misdemeanors, Husbands and Wives, as well as the two I mentioned above. One of my favorite directors, honestly.
