Guest I miss Test.

I thought it would be around 4.0.

It probably slowly declines to the 3.5 range, then stays around there for a while.

What about the 91% of people who enjoyed it and came back? How come we never talk about them.

Ok.

I wonder how many of that 91% that came back because of Homecoming watched this week's show and thought to themselves "Wow, this is horrible" and won't tune in next week?

60% of that 91% percent would watch if RAW was just two hours of Vince with his arm up a donkey's ass while playing the Sanford and Son theme on an accordian between his legs.

Sad, but true.

A 4.0 against huge ratings for football and baseball is an excellent number for the week following Homecoming .They had a hard time doing 4.0 in the summer against no competition.

"Every show that's ever been cancelled has had an audience. It's the SIZE of the audience relative to expectations/previous ratings that matters, not how many people are loyal to the show."

Well the size of this audience isn't even looking at the numbers it'll take to get that show cancelled. I just don't understand how everything that isn't going up has to be considered not only a bad rating, but a really bad rating.

Not much, Raw has had some bush league shows this year and the ratings were steady. I think people are waiting for a sure fire sign that the audience is leaving, but it hasn't come, and this sure as hell isn't it.

When the 2nd show on a new network loses 9% or 15% of the audience depending on which rating you decided to use, how is that not a really bad thing? This isn't the case of a movie doing its biggest number the first weekend and then trailing off. This is a TV show with new episodes every week that should be able to hold most of its audience, or God forbid actually increase it. If you don't think this is a bad sign, please explain to me what would be, a 50% drop from one week to the next? Seriously.

Well, this is an easy one. The 9% or 15% increase was due to the WM level promotion of the 10/3 show, and the returns of Hogan, Foley, HHH, and Austin, with the last 2 being the more important of the 4.

The 10/10 show was just another show with regular hype and it did a 4.0 against very strong competition and it is a very good number.

Next week, competition won't be a strong because the MNF game is a dud, sort of, plus they have Foley and Kane coming back next week. If they drop to a 3.5, then yes, that is a bad number.

The 10/3 show was like Friends during sweeps when they had Brad Pitt co-star. The rating spikes for that one week then goes back to it regular number the next week.

I dunno, I'd put HHH at the bottom of that list of 4. I can't imagine millions of people tuning in for someone (HHH) who's only been gone a few months.
