Gary Floyd Posted October 18, 2005 Report Posted October 18, 2005 Depeche Mode's new album, "Playing The Angel", came out today. Though I haven't gotten it yet (I'll try to either this week or next week) I was wondering if anyone here is getting it, or has already gotten it. So far, I hear mostly praise for it. If so, do you think it's any good.
Edwin MacPhisto Posted October 18, 2005 Report Posted October 18, 2005 Thinking about it. Exciter was all right. I kinda want to go see them on their big tour, but no one I know is into them enough to come along, and I can think of few things lamer than going to a Depeche Mode concert by yourself.
dubq Posted October 19, 2005 Report Posted October 19, 2005 From what I've heard, it's more like Ultra. Which is a HUGE plus in my books. My girlfriend picked it up the other day but I haven't had a chance to listen to it yet. They're coming to play TO soon.. and the fucking tickets are $90.. and those aren't even the best seats. Crazy..
Gary Floyd Posted October 21, 2005 Author Report Posted October 21, 2005 I just got it today. For the most part, it's pretty awesome. It's basically alot like Ultra, with a bit of Violator, Songs of Faith and Devotion, and a tiny pinch of Exciter.
notJames Posted October 27, 2005 Report Posted October 27, 2005 Much better than Exciter. "Suffer Well" is my favourite song on the album, and "Precious" and "Damaged People" also stood out for me.
