OAO Taboo Tuesday Voting Thread

Recommended Posts

Most of the stuff isn't too offending for the stips although 1) There was no creativity put forth so far as alot of this stuff is redux of last year, esp. with the losers of the title match voting teaming for the tag title shot - didnt they realize that the lineup last year didnt exactly create interest? 2) the stips in particular for HHH-Flair are ridiculous.

First, who is going to vote for a normal singles match - that's absurd to even have that as an option. Submission is going to be my choice. Doing a cage match as their first match of an extended program is borderline ridiculous.

Would have much rather had:

1) Submission match

2) Last man standing match

3) 2 out of 3 falls match

Guess thats too much to ask. :(

Am definately picking Hardy and Mysterio for the interpromotional match. That match is a strong pick for the ppv to lead into Survivor Series' 10 man tag (which officially as far as I know still doesnt even have Edge in its lineup).

About putting TBS in the 3-Way:

Let's not forget the Angle/Brock/TBS match from Vengeance 2003. Going in, almost everyone here was bitching about it and predicting that the match would just be horrible and TBS would only bring it down, and (in my opinion), it ended up being one of the best matches of that year.

If you should be worried about anyone bringing that match down, take a look at the champ himself.

Disagree. Cena doesn't get enough credit he deserves amongst the IWC. He always seems to step his game up on PPVs. Take a look at his match w/ Jericho from Summerslam for proof. I just wish the Cena bashing would stop. Or at least slow down a bit.

It will stop when there is reason it to do so. His gimmick is tired, it's a borderline joke (parody of Austin and Rocky, with the over the top rapper character trying to mask all of that), and he's painfully average in the ring.

He's not horrible in the ring, I don't think that's, he's just what I call painfully average. Sure he's been a "part" of a handful of decent matches, but it's almost never (is it ever?) because of him.

I hope your saying "Disagree." was just in response about what I said about Cena, and not about TBS. People were praising that match right after it took place, and people still talk about it today. It is one of the best matches in TBS's career, and his role was just perfect in the match.

Big Show is perfectly suited to Triple Threat matches because he can come in, do his big moves and then get double-teamed/knocked out for awhile to let the other guys control the flow of the match. The JBL/Angle/Show match from Royal Rumble was going well too before the abrupt ending. Even so, it was better than HHH/Orton from the same show.

Cena could easily be put in that role too if HBK was heel.

.) Mysterio and Christian - I'd like to see them each get an extra PPV pay day.

2.) Big Show - Kane sucks and I just don't feel like seeing Shawn Michaels get voted in two years in a row.

3.) Submission - Only if it marks the return of Triple H's INDIAN DEATH LOCK OF DOOM.

4.) Street Fight - There's really not a viable option here... At least this offers the chance for a botched spot.

5.) The Duder - Just for the fun he could have mocking Carlito.

6.) Leather - It would be something different.

Maria in the Divas match makes 0 sense.

1 - Matt and Christian (theres also the bonus of the possibility of them becoming full time Tag Team on SD...)

2 - Im gonna go out on a limb and say Kane wins (and as a BONUS! a Brutal Cade/Murdoch vs Big Show/HBK tag title match...ugh)

3 - Submission..since it favors Flair although HHH will end up winning with a figure 4..

4 - I'd mark out for a debate, but its a shame theres no voting for the debate topic. How about..Best Beer and why?

5 - Dude Love obviously

6 - Cheerleaders

Im in with the "Im not renting this" so I really dont care.

I'll be watching the show, but only by downloading it for free. Since this show is on a Tuesday, there will be plenty of time for me to download it and watch it before the next RAW.

Who gives a shit if we get to see her half naked?

Bingo.

It's the only thing about this whole farce of a show that makes any sense.

I know its for the womens title, but the idea of someone who's never (to my knowledge) wrestled a match being included in a title match on a PPV (however throwaway it might be) is the doesn't make sense portion.

1. HBK. I want a good match. Having Show or Kane in there gives me less of a chance to have that.

2. Mysterio, Christian. I do really wish that it could somehow be Raw heel and face vs. Smackdown heel and face. It would make great dynamics. With that said, Mysterio being the only face would be cool, and Christian choosing between being himself or Smackdown loyality is cool too. Maybe even before hand, have Edge, either in the ring or backstage, try to cut a deal with his brother.

3. I'm tempted to vote for Submission, just to see if Triple H would win with his Indian Deathlock...but for the better match, give me Cage. These two are going to bleed tons.

4. Arm Wrestling. I don't want to see either wrestle, and Austin talking will take forever.

5. Dude Love, because a comedy match here is the best we can hope for.

6. Erm, I'm not a lesbein, so give me the cheerleader because it covers the most.

Eh, it's not about the match. It's about the ring entrances. It might be WWE's chance to put the title on Candice for her Playboy shit too.

I'm pretty sure I saw the match listed at WWE.com as being for the IC Title. Maybe they decided that they actually want to elevate the title or something.

I cant believe you suckers think HHH is winning. He loses this match, wins that fued.

Duh.

Why not, its a fued like any other. There is no Title involved and no one NEEDS a rub or the win.

Flair should win by massive cheating in at least one of the matches.

Because HHH is viewed as a monster who beats everybody and Ric Flair is my dad's age. HHH just got done jobbing to Batista, and if they have any plans at all at doing Cena/HHH, then jobbing him to Flair in any match is just going to make Trip look bad. Flair's done. Nothing that he does can save his career at this point and get him to be taken seriously. It would be much worse than Shawn jobbing to Hogan, because at least they are building towards Hogan/Austin, and I wasn't a very big fan of that either. Also, Hogan is seen, for whatever reason, as being more credible than Flair.

Hogan going over HBK IS FAR WORSE. This is a real wrestling fued. That match was viewed as a Fantasy Match. This has meaning, it has a back story and has relative substance. Flair, right now, is viewed as an aging star who still has it in him once in a while. He held his own vs Angle, beat the IC Champ and so on. He is being booked like he was in late 96 by going over Konnan fo the US Title. It believable for Flair to win becuase he will win via cheating. And thats OK.
